Hi everyone,
Welcome to this point-to-point breathing exercise.
In this meditation practice,
You will imagine that with each exhalation,
The awareness and the breath travel downward together through the body from the crown of the head to one of eight points and then back up to the crown of the head.
It's important to breathe effortlessly,
Smoothly,
And continuously throughout this practice.
Even though the distance traveled in your body varies in length,
The breath should still remain effortless and relaxed.
So to get started,
Lie down on your back with your legs extended straight out and your arms relaxed by your sides.
If lying down is not possible,
You may sit in a chair or on the floor Now begin to notice your natural breath as you inhale and exhale.
Take a breath in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that the breath is flowing from the crown of your head down to your toes.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
And again,
Exhale down to your toes.
And then inhale back to the crown of the head.
Now exhale to the level of your ankles.
And inhale back to the crown of the head Exhale down to your knees.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale to the base of your spine.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale to the level of your navel center.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale to the level of your heart center.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the level of your throat.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the level of your eyebrow center Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Again,
Exhale to the eyebrow center.
And inhale back to the crown of the head.
Now breathe in.
And exhale to the throat center.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the heart center.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the navel center.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the base of the spine.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale to the knees.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the ankles.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Exhale down to the toes.
Inhale back to the crown of the head.
Now breathe as if the whole body is breathing.
Allowing each exhalation to flow down and out through the soles of the feet to infinity.
Take a few silent moments to notice your inhalation and exhalation here.
And take your time.
As you slowly return back to your natural breathing pattern.
Thank you all for joining me for this practice today.
Take care and be well.
Namaste.
