Gratitude Meditation.
My name is Steve and I'll be your guide.
Gratitude Meditation is a time to reflect,
To draw on the warm,
Higher vibrations of gratitude in your heart.
It's a good time to fall asleep at the end of this meditation.
So this is something I do lying in bed at night time,
For a busy day.
It's particularly good after a not so good day,
And we all have them.
Stressful days,
Difficult days,
Sad days.
It's also nice to do when gratitude is easy to find.
Great days when everything went absolutely perfect.
So whatever kind of day you had today,
Hold that in your heart.
Make yourself comfortable.
Hopefully you're lying in bed.
Take a moment to adjust the pillows.
Adjust your body,
Any clothing,
So you're nice and comfortable.
And maybe you can just drift off to sleep at the end.
You might be starting your day.
Getting ready for action and adventure.
Still make yourself comfortable without any physical distractions.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Find the part of your breath that resonates with you.
Feeling of cool air.
Feeling the physical sensations within your lungs.
Sense the rhythm of your breath.
Find what resonates with you.
And as you breathe,
You'll notice your mind rushes off to the events of your day.
Your mind likes to go to the difficult parts of our day.
Bring it back to your breath.
All your focus and your awareness is on the rhythm of your breath.
As you breathe,
Notice your mind begins to calm down.
Some of the anxious,
Frustrated thoughts,
They drift away.
Every time you notice you're distracted,
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Turn your awareness to your heart,
The emotional center of your life.
Draw on the higher vibrations you feel.
Feel the gratitude,
The joy,
The love.
Go to a moment in your life that was filled with this love,
Joy,
Filled with gratitude.
Go into this moment,
Time you received a special gift,
Birth of a child,
Time when someone helped you and you needed help more than ever.
Go into this moment.
Feel this moment again.
Feel the temperature of the day on your skin.
The laughter of children.
Feel the warm embrace of a loved one.
Feel their warmth and their love wrap around you.
Hear all the sounds of that moment.
The smells,
Perfume of a loved one.
Taste the food of that moment.
Go deep into that moment.
Fully experience that moment of love and joy.
Feel the gratitude well up within your heart.
Let every breath in feel this joy grow stronger within you.
See your heart as a pulsing light within your chest.
Let every breath in this light grow stronger and brighter as you breathe this joy and love into your body.
Grow strong within your heart.
It pulses this brilliant light through your body.
With every breath in,
This light grows stronger and more brilliant.
It fills your body with love and joy.
Feel your heart beating.
You see this pulse of light shining away from your body.
Pulsing through your room,
Through your city,
Through the world.
You see this pulse of light shine on your loved ones.
This feeling grows within your heart.
You see this pulse of love and joy and gratitude.
As a beacon,
Pulsing throughout your universe.
This brilliant pulsing light is your meaning,
Your purpose.
You bring your awareness back to this present moment,
This higher vibration in your heart.
Become aware of all that you are grateful for in your life.
Your family,
Your friends.
The little successes in life.
Become aware of all that is good.
All that feeds your heart with this higher emotion.
Know that you are love.
You are joy.
