Hello and welcome to this new Insight Timer Meditation.
I'm Steve Austin and I'm so glad you're here.
Before we begin,
I would encourage you to find a quiet place,
Get comfortable,
Whatever that looks like for you.
Meditation is not one size fits all.
So if you prefer a meditation stool or a cushion,
A comfy chair,
Whatever works for you.
Get comfortable,
Get quiet.
I like to start with my hands in my lap,
Up turned,
Just to sort of show the universe that I'm open and I'm ready to receive.
This meditation is on resolving conflicts in relationships.
So once you have found a comfortable position for your body and your mind to relax,
I want you to begin by picturing someone with whom you have a challenge.
And as you see them,
Imagine floating into their body.
Try to see the world through their eyes.
Take a few minutes to do this.
Imagine their average day,
The things and people that are there.
You might realize that they have stressors you didn't even realize.
Now see and feel yourself forgiving them.
Forgive them for their part and any challenges that exist between the two of you.
You realize that by forgiving them,
You're also permitting yourself to let go of any negative feelings.
This is the point where conflict can be resolved and closeness can occur.
Now imagine them apologizing to you.
Imagine them thanking you.
I want you to see this clearly and really feel that the forgiveness has taken place.
Both the forgiveness that you've given and the forgiveness that you've received.
As you breathe in,
You can know that all has been forgiven.
As you breathe out,
You can know that all has been forgiven.
Now imagine yourself alone.
You're engulfed in a white light that comes in and purges all your negativity,
All the resentment from your body.
You can feel it clearing and purifying your heart,
Your mind,
Your soul.
You can literally feel this white light and the benefits,
The life that it brings.
Spend a few moments enjoying this feeling,
This white cleansing light.
Now imagine that same person with whom you had the conflict standing in front of you.
That white light is extending out of your body and into theirs.
The white light has the very same effect on them that it had on you.
It cleanses and purifies all their negative feelings and emotions.
Take a moment and really enjoy that connection that you're feeling,
That you're experiencing with them.
You can feel this really great connection that's growing between you and this person.
You can feel the love between the two of you growing greater and stronger.
You notice those last traces of conflict dissolving and all that's left is love and light.
You realize that the white light,
It's always there.
Whether you're aware of it or not,
It's always there connecting you with the ones you love and care about all the time.
Feel the love,
Feel the light.
Look at the smile on their face.
Feel the smile on your own face.
Enjoy that feeling of permanent love,
Reconciliation,
Light,
Forgiveness,
Unity,
Oneness.
It's radiating from your heart.
Spend a few moments just soaking it up.
As we near the end of our time together,
Take a couple of deep breaths.
Let's take a breath in and let it go.
One more breath in and let it go.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Bring your focus back to the room.
You're here,
Now,
And you are loved.
