This grounding meditation is meant for setting an intention at the beginning of difficult conversations.
The conversation may be an uncoupling,
A letting go,
A conversion,
Or any other transition.
May we be true to our feelings without being indulgent to those selfish and small ones.
May we trust in the universe or whatever higher power we believe in to guide our conversation.
When we come from a place of empathy and of trust,
May we meet difference with curiosity rather than judgment as we seek to understand where the other person is coming from.
May we be honest but kind and know the importance in being clear as we communicate as a type of compassion.
May we think about transitions rather than endings,
Gratitude rather than loss.
May we hold space and remain open-minded and keep in mind that life unfolds in ways that we may not understand right now.
May we remember that with acceptance and release comes grace.
May we consider possibilities of yes and no so that we are discussing and rather than or and but.
May the focus not be on being okay but knowing that we're moving forward.
May we leave knowing that love is here,
It grows and flourishes and be more at peace.
