AA's motto of, "First Things First" means that we should always keep in mind that alcohol is our number-one problem. We must never let other problems take precedence in our minds over our alcoholic problems. This reading from "24 Hours A Day" (Sept. 5th) asks us the question: "Am I keeping soberiety in first place in my mind?" The prayer for the day guides us to keep progressing in the better life.
