I’ve written this meditation for you to enjoy a moment of calm, peace and relaxation in the evening. A moment to prepare your mind and your body to melt into sleep, and soak up all the nourishment of the night. You can prepare your tea for real while you listen to this audio, or just picture the moment in your mind, whatever works for you. Enjoy. (There is no bell to signal the end of the meditation, but you will hear my voice wishing to you "Goodnight"). Pic- Anastasiya Leskova via Unsplash

Let's get ready to prepare ourselves a lovely cup of chamomile infusion.

Walk to your cupboard and choose a mug,

The one in your favorite color,

The one you like to hold.

Set it on the table and reach for the kettle.

Walk to the sink and start filling it.

Listen to the soft sound of running water.

Notice the way of the kettle slowly but steadily increasing in your hand.

Set the kettle on the fire as you turn it on.

While the water warms up,

Take a moment to observe or to imagine the flame underneath it.

Allow yourself to get lost for a moment in its flickering blue light,

In the dance of the flames chasing each other.

Leave the kettle on the fire as you walk towards the container of your loose chamomile tea.

Get ready for the tiny explosion of perfume that will caress your face when you open it.

But wait for a moment before actually opening it.

A moment to savor the expectation.

And when you're ready,

Go ahead.

Open your jar and inhale the delicious smell of the flowers.

Fill your infuser and place it inside your cup.

Now give air onto the kettle and search for the sound of boiling water.

Tiny explosions of bubbles,

Soft streams of steam raising to the ceiling.

Pour the water into your cup.

Noticing the game it plays with air as it enters your infuser.

Little bubbles of air swimming to the surface as the water soaks your once dried flowers.

Feel the warmth of the steam caressing your skin and smell the delicate scent of your tea.

Wrap your hands around the cup and enjoy its warmth until it's too hot to hold.

Now find a comfortable place,

Cuddle up and enjoy your tea.

Goodnight.
