So Hum mantra comes from the Sanskrit and helps calm the mind. It not only encourages one-pointed focus, but it also helps us to rest into a state of being. There can be many approaches; my experiment with this meditation was through sound. I used instruments, toning, and pauses, which can induce subtle sensations in the body and feelings, and can change the state of the mind.
