Poetry - The Wanderer - Returning Home

A short poem of a wanderer who gains insight when returning back home to his old chair. A poem which makes us realize despite our journey through time and space, when we return to the place it all began, it can feel as if nothing has ever changed but, everything has.

After years of wandering through time and space,

I found myself sitting on the same old wooden chair I had sat down on every day as a young dreamer.

During the period of my absence,

So much had happened,

But in a strange way,

It felt like nothing had changed,

But everything had.

The old chair was wiser due to listening and speaking.

I was older,

But still not as wise as the old chair.
