The Art of Letting Go Yesterday I went on a long drive and the universal topic of letting go arose in my mind.
How most of our suffering is connected to the inability to let go.
I decided to write what was on my mind.
Here is what came out.
Letting go requires trusting in the unknown.
Letting go of fear and walking through the flames with courage.
Letting go of what we think we know,
Allowing the invisible walls of conditioning to collapse.
Letting go of what is out of our control and trusting blindly in the gods.
Letting go of what we want and accepting what we need.
Letting go of doubt and having faith in our actions.
Letting go of trying,
Effortlessly allowing the pieces to fall together.
Letting go of resentment,
Forgiving your enemies,
Forgiving yourself.
Letting go of an old lover,
Creating space for another to enter.
Letting go of external approval and finding peace within.
Going all the way,
Giving what we can and letting go of the outcome.
As the old man lets go,
He waves goodbye with a smile,
Knowing this was all a dream.
