Welcome to the Shifting with Marlee podcast.

I'm Marlee.

Thank you for joining me wherever you are.

All that I ask of you,

The listener,

Is to have an open mind and an open heart.

And in return,

I offer you myself.

Today,

We're going to explore some of the major astrological transits that will be affecting the collective for the next several years,

And also how we can work with these transits on a personal level.

We're also going to dive into the astrology of the United States as we approach its 250th birthday in 2026.

And while astrology is not predictive,

It can help us understand the energies we are working with in our life and in the world,

And it can help us make some sense of the events playing out and the emotions coming to the surface.

And it can also help us see the patterns in cycles and learn from them.

It's a powerful tool to help us better understand our world.

Here to help us make some sense of all of this and share her wisdom is my favorite astrologer,

Malet Yared,

Also known as Mahi.

Mahi is an amazing and badass astrologer and writer.

You may remember Mahi from back in episode 36 from 2023,

Astrology and Ancestral Healing,

Where we discussed how to use astrology as a tool to help us understand and heal our generational trauma in order to unlock ancestral wisdom and abundance.

In that episode,

We also discussed some other major astrological transits that are still ongoing,

Including Pluto in Aquarius and what it means to be in the age of Aquarius.

Welcome back,

Mahi.

It's so good to be here.

Thank you so much for having me,

Marlee.

Thank you so much for coming back on the podcast.

I'm just so grateful to connect with you again.

Yes,

We have a lot to talk about.

The astrology for this month and the next several years is definitely spicy.

Spicy,

Yes.

Like you said,

Mahi,

Let's dive in.

We have a lot to discuss.

Things have been intense on Earth for a while now,

To put it mildly.

I know astrologically things have been intense as well and that that's going to continue.

Can you please just help us understand some of these major astrological transits and energies that we are working with?

I specifically today,

So that this podcast is as evergreen as possible,

Want to focus on Neptune in Aries,

Saturn in Aries,

And Uranus in Gemini.

Let's maybe start with Neptune in Aries.

Can you share with us a bit about that transit and some of the energies and themes around this transit?

Absolutely.

What connects these three planets,

Saturn,

Uranus,

And Neptune,

Is that these are all outer planets.

When we're looking at the sky,

There are what we call personal planets and outer planets tend to be much more collective.

The impact is not as much on one person.

Of course,

As Saturn is moving and people have Saturn returns or Uranus and Neptune interacts with your placements,

You're going to personally experience changes,

But those things are all rooted in collective themes.

It's really interesting to talk about the impact of these planets because we're kind of all experiencing their impact at the same time and that's not necessarily the case for some of our other short-term transits.

For Neptune in Aries,

Neptune is a planet of our visions,

Our dreams,

Our morals,

But also illusions.

Neptune can make it difficult to understand is this really what this is or not what this is,

But Neptune can also be very revealing and help lift the veil off of illusions.

Neptune recently entered Aries,

But today at the time of this recording,

Neptune's actually retrograding in Pisces at 29 degrees.

Neptune's movement into Aries is really marking this season where we are thinking about what are our morals and values and visions around violence,

Around masculinity,

Around war,

Around all of these Aries themes,

But as it's retrograding right now into Pisces,

We're really being reflective on what Neptune had done in Pisces where that was a lot of lifting illusions from our society,

Shattering what we thought things were,

Shattering that dreamy,

Disney-fied imagination of what it was.

While Neptune was also in Pisces,

We saw a lot of changes around religion where people were being drawn to much more extreme religions or people were getting much more conservative or our government was being much more conservative or you'll have the equal and opposite where you're looking at governments like France that are trying to be so secular and move away so far from religion that they are religiously discriminating all over again.

It's really,

Really fascinating what we have seen in terms of how our society interacts with religion with the time that Neptune has been in Pisces.

So right now with this last bit of retrograde,

We really reflect on those values,

On those themes,

And we revisit how we are interacting with this before we step back into Neptune in Aries.

But Neptune in Aries is really a big time where we're thinking about gender roles,

Gender dynamics,

Masculinity,

What does it mean to be a man or brave or like in what ways are women allowed to show up in this equal way.

It's very fascinating and we're in for quite a long ride.

Wow.

And I feel,

Even though we're retrograding right now,

That we're already seeing,

Especially in the past year,

So much of that Neptune in Aries energy already coming out in the collective.

Would you agree?

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Because Neptune entered Aries at the end of March.

And so the retrograde is much more recent.

And so we've had those themes start to come out.

We've had conversation and conflict around gender in so many different ways.

There is,

Amongst the conservative men,

There's these conversations of men being emasculated by women's freedom,

Men being emasculated by women's ability to earn.

I was just watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

And on there,

It was so much of the theme this season that they're starting to talk about is the men are really struggling to resolve conflict in relationships where the women have financial power because they don't understand their place anymore.

And that reckoning and that re-understanding or reshaping of what it means to be a man is,

Of course,

Necessary because you have to shatter toxic masculinity.

But it also is very puzzling for men who are used to feeling like they are at the top,

Who are used to feeling empowered,

Who are now experiencing a collective identity loss of their manhood.

Yes.

And I feel like the shadow side of that is we're seeing a lot of lashing out,

Right,

From that place of wounding.

Absolutely.

Lots of lashing out.

And that's on both sides,

Too.

These are collective transits.

They impact everyone.

So,

Like,

There is lashing out of men who feel entitled to have,

They feel like they should have a certain job.

They should have a wife.

They don't understand why these things are so hard.

And then on the other side,

You have lots of women who are not interested in interacting with men,

Who are very hateful of men,

Who don't want to be in partnership with men.

So we're going to continue to kind of see that lashing out and reckoning and these collective conversations around what this is.

This isn't the first time we have been here.

We have had Neptune in Aries before,

And last time it was the start of the Civil War in the United States.

And so there was a reshaping of what it meant to be a man,

Like men were physically leaving their homes,

Going to war,

Or choosing not to go to war and tend to the land and be more responsible for other people in their community.

There was this fluidity and change that,

Like,

Reshaped what manhood was.

I think that with Neptune in Aries in this season,

Of course,

There's plenty of war and violence around the world.

I don't think governments will ever stop doing that.

But I also think there is a lot of wars that occur online,

If that makes sense,

Like a culture war.

We can have these dialogues and these conversations around masculinity on online platforms and really understand what that is.

So I think what we'll be seeing is much less maybe of a physical shift and much more of conversations,

Collective movements.

It's really just the beginning and no other astrologer,

Like none of us were alive the last time Neptune was in Aries.

So I really love these collective transits because I feel lucky to experience them.

It's like I could have lived a lifetime where I didn't even get to see Neptune in Aries.

But I feel grateful to see and see how this concept of masculinity continues to change over the next 14 years.

Yeah.

Thank you for that.

I love that answer.

And that's exactly why I wanted to talk about this today.

And I feel like there's a bit of a reckoning here with the patriarchy as well from what you're sharing.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

And reshaping what patriarchy is.

Is it useful to us in our current form?

Is it serving everybody?

What I'm really looking forward to about Neptune in Aries is I don't think you've had enough conversations about how patriarchy harms everyone.

I think for Neptune in Pisces,

There was a lot of like the feminist movement was really desiring to appeal to people and like,

Well,

Look at how it's harmed us and how it's harmed women.

But the patriarchy has equally harmed and torn down men as well.

It's robbed them of emotional connection.

It's robbed them of relationships.

It's robbed them of community.

It's robbed them of true understanding and empathy.

It's robbed them from playing meaningful roles in their families.

And so the shattering is beneficial to everyone.

And I think that's what Neptune in Aries makes obvious.

The beauty of when Neptune in Aries was happening in conjunction with the Civil War in America,

It was really like families were forced to be shattered and to reshape and for people to occupy roles that better benefited the collective.

How do we help us survive?

How do we help our town get through this?

And letting go of like,

Oh,

Well,

I'm the man.

I need to do this because sometimes things are crazy.

And Aries is the sign that it's like a warrior in war.

And it's understanding that what needs to get done to help everyone simply needs to get done.

And you have to put your ego aside and understand where you can be of highest value.

Yes,

I love that.

And I feel like what's been playing out so far is a lot of the shadow side of this transit.

So if we can heal these wounds and learn these lessons,

What do we have to look forward to on the on the high side of the Neptune in Aries transit?

I believe that on the high side of Neptune in Aries,

What we will experience is people feeling more ownership over,

Like,

Making the American dream a possibility.

There has been our experience in the United States.

There has been,

Like,

Through the lens of the patriarchy,

Almost that,

Like,

It's the men who get to create and achieve the American dream.

And Neptune is about our dreams and values.

And so it should really empower everybody to move forward towards the dream,

Take action towards a dream.

I mean,

Neptune in Aries is literally,

Like,

Don't just.

.

.

I recently heard a quote that said this really well,

Which was when you pray to catch the bus and you run as fast as you can.

Pray to catch the bus and run as fast as you can.

And I feel like that really encapsulates Neptune in Aries.

Pray for the thing that you want or the society that you want,

And then you run as fast as you can to create it and you don't stop.

It's a combination of having a spiritual desire for something and then also being so relentless in the way that you're going to move towards it.

And so I think that in this,

At the end of this 14 years,

We'll experience a society who feels meaningfully invested in making our communities better,

Where people show up to community meetings,

People show up to town halls,

People show up and feed each other.

People don't just sit around like,

Oh,

Yeah,

Well,

It's cool if I just sit over here and donate this thing.

No,

Go out and feed somebody.

Go do it.

I have full body chills.

That is so beautiful.

And I very much look forward to that.

And I think what I love about what you just shared is that it's up to all of us and that there's this action element.

So have the dream,

The morals and the values,

But then we each have to take steps towards that.

Totally.

Because Neptune in Pisces is like,

I'll pray for it and God will fix it.

You know,

That's like very Pisces in it.

I'll pray for the miracle and the miracle will come.

And that's why people were drawn to much more conservative religions.

Like people are looking for something to save them,

To take them away from their problems,

To tell them how to live,

To tell them who to marry,

To tell them to basically give them a formula so that they can mentally check out and dissociate and not take ownership.

Neptune in Aries is the complete opposite.

It's like,

Hello,

Wake up.

The government will always suck and you need to help your community today.

Okay.

It's time to save ourselves and create the society that we all want collectively.

Absolutely.

I love it.

Okay.

So what about Saturn in Aries?

Can you tell us a bit about that transit and those energies?

Yeah.

Well,

It's very fun that we get to have Saturn and Neptune in Aries together.

That is really interesting energy.

I said,

Neptune is much more about our dreams and illusions.

Saturn is about our responsibilities,

Our commitments,

And similar to Neptune,

Saturn entered Aries and is now retrograding for a little bit in Pisces.

Saturn in Aries is about showing up and creating structure without waiting for somebody to tell you how to do it.

It's about you taking true ownership and then creating foundations over your goals.

Things that are going to last 28 and a half years,

Because that's how long Saturn takes to make its way around.

And so it's really having you build the scaffolding to be the kind of leader that you want to be,

To be the warrior of your own life.

Saturn in Aries is also,

Saturn is a sign that we associate with the father and the relationship with the father.

So while Saturn is in Aries,

We'll have a bunch of children who are born in that time and more people who will have Saturn in Aries.

It will be an era where you see fathers play a much more active role in raising their children.

Sometimes that could be a little bit crazy.

Saturn in Aries could also be those,

Not like,

I guess,

A dad version of a dance mom,

Like a football dad who's like,

We're going out,

We're doing drill,

We're doing this.

So there definitely is like,

There can be like this over disciplinary structured approach to it.

But at the end of the day,

The common theme is really like a much stronger involvement from the father figure is much more input there,

Which I think plays really beautifully with Neptune in Aries.

For Saturn in Aries too,

Depending on where this is happening in people's own birth charts,

Saturn's only going to be in Aries for a few years.

So I think this is really interesting.

I definitely recommend everyone look at their chart,

See where Aries is,

Understand the house and the themes of where Saturn's transit will be impacting you and understanding that in conjunction with what's going on with the collective,

Like how you can create those structures in your own life and also seeing our society as a whole,

Restructuring itself.

Okay,

Beautiful.

And correct me if I'm wrong,

From what I've read about Saturn in Aries,

It's also a lot about change and growth and depth and authenticity.

Would you agree?

Yes.

Saturn in Pisces,

Creating discipline and commitment and responsibility when Saturn was in Pisces is much more about almost blending in with the collective or blending in with other people,

Whereas Saturn in Aries is really going to reward you showing up as a unique,

Authentic individual.

So,

I mean,

Obviously as a fire sign,

I love Saturn being in Aries,

But it really is a time where people who have been told when Saturn was in Pisces,

You're too ambitious,

You're too loud,

You're too this.

When Saturn is in Aries,

People are going to receive that very differently.

People want to see that kind of,

And that's what's going to be rewarded from people,

Is those who express themselves in a true,

Authentic way,

Even if it's not politically correct,

Like that's the beauty of Aries energy.

It's like,

It doesn't have to be the most diplomatic,

Politically correct way for you to express things,

But if it's true to you,

People are craving that truth.

I was just going to say,

I feel like we are craving authenticity on every level,

In our lives,

In our relationships,

And especially from our leaders and in politics.

I just feel like we are craving authenticity.

Absolutely,

Absolutely.

And I think we can see that with Saturn being retrograde in Pisces right now,

I mean,

We have so many things in retrograde in general,

But what I've been seeing during Saturn retrograde is a lot of leaders who put themselves on a moral pedestal,

Who try to position themselves as like,

I'm holier than thou and I'm doing this,

Are really being exposed in a lot of ways.

And I think that that being revealed in this retrograde season,

And then when Saturn moves into Aries,

It will be like,

People want to know that they're getting who they're getting.

And I think in future elections,

I think the New York mayoral election was a really good example of this.

We're going to have more and more leaders with untraditional backgrounds,

With untraditional names,

Who were not born in the United States,

Who have perspectives that feel authentic and align with other people's beliefs,

Start to take more and more positions of leadership.

I agree.

And I also feel like I just want to throw in the word honesty as well,

Because that's an energy that we can feel,

Right,

As people,

As a collective.

So I also feel like part of that authenticity will be this level of honesty that is required.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Yes,

Because when Saturn is in Pisces,

It's like,

We want like the dream,

We want the Disney version,

Like,

We don't want to quite see what it is.

We're like,

No,

Take me to La La Land.

I want to escape.

Don't make me face the noise.

But yeah,

Saturn in Aries,

We really want that honesty.

And one other thing,

And I'm curious if you agree on this,

I was reading about Saturn in Aries,

There's this element of,

You talked about structure and foundation,

But there was this element of time and being more intentional with our time that I was reading about.

And it almost to me felt like we have a lot of that Aries energy,

But we're also being invited to break up with hustle and grind culture as well.

What do you think about that?

Yes,

Absolutely.

I think that that speaks to the marriage,

Right,

Between like,

You're looking at Saturn,

But you're also looking at Aries,

Which is like,

If you want to,

If you have an ambitious goal,

It takes time to create that.

You have to allow things to compound over years and years and years.

Saturn in Pisces was like,

Oh,

Well,

It can just happen in a moment.

It can just be a miracle.

It can be an overnight success type of mentality.

But Saturn in Aries is like,

If you want to be this type of leader in 29 years,

Or if you want to have this kind of statement written about you in your obituary,

You need to put in work to that and get better 1% every single day and work towards that.

I think that Aries gets a bad reputation for being impatient,

But I think Aries is actually sometimes impulsive,

But when they have long-term goals,

Aries is very patient.

The reason people,

I think,

The impulsivity gets confused is because Aries is going to dive in without planning,

And they're not necessarily going to think about all of the steps or have a 20-year plan for it,

But they're going to jump in and fail and fail and fail over again until they finally figure it out,

And then they're just going to keep running.

I think that Saturn in Aries will really highlight that when you bring that passion and ambition and maybe a little bit of impulsivity,

But you allow yourself to not be on a rushed timeline and to allow things to unfold,

You can create a much bigger impact and create something that has a long-term legacy.

Saturn wants to create things that last.

It's not about just putting something up quickly.

It's about taking the time to make sure that it's something that's lasting and that as you are building,

You are checking in and making sure that it's what you actually want.

So we're building,

But without burning out.

Exactly.

Building without burning out and understanding that it's really about the long game.

Again,

I think Neptune in Aries highlights this energy as well as just playing this long game and setting the foundation for things we really care about.

Beautiful.

So can you tell me with Saturn in Aries,

What is the low side and high side of these transits so we can look out for that?

Okay.

For Saturn in Aries,

I think the high side of it or something that is very positive about Saturn in Aries is that I think this is the moment to make your wildest dream a priority.

That doesn't mean you stop your whole life,

But I think that you make it a priority,

And I think that you actually sit down and think about what you can do on a weekly,

Daily basis to achieve that goal.

This energy is incredibly supportive of that.

This energy is supportive in terms of you finding other spaces that fuel this ambition,

Places that you can get more information or more skills or whatever it is you need to make a possibility.

I think that the downside to Saturn in Aries or something that can be really challenging is the impatience around it.

I think that it's difficult to both want something really,

Really badly and also grapple with the fact that it needs time in order to ferment and that you have to sustain your excitement,

Your commitment to it over an extended period of time.

It sucks to want something really badly.

I mean,

I don't know how you are,

But when I want something or I'm trying to manifest something,

Sometimes I feel like I'm actually losing my mind because it's like I want it so badly that I'm starting to go crazy.

I think that that feeling can be challenging in Saturn in Aries because you know it will take time,

But that doesn't mean it's easy to not feel the frustration and rejection while you are making it happen.

Yeah,

I feel that.

That makes a lot of sense.

Is there anywhere in the world right now that you see that shadow energy of Saturn in Aries playing out?

I have found,

As somebody who creates content,

I have found a lot of conversations around content creation and the kind of money content creation should bring in and there have been,

I think,

Some people who are upset with how much money content creators make because all they see is videos and they don't see the work that goes behind the scenes and they also don't see the journey.

A lot of content creators,

Okay,

Maybe they started creating content five years ago,

But there are people who have been making videos since they were children.

People have been working on editing classes.

There's stuff that happens behind the scenes and I think there's been an interesting dialogue around like people being upset that content creators get to have it so easy and make all this money and then also I've seen content creators who had maybe what feels like a quick rise starting to have conversations and admit about how much they're financially struggling and how much they haven't created a foundation that can support their business long term.

How they rode this high and now that brands aren't spending as much money,

It's bringing their business to a collapse and so I found that really interesting.

I think that's a big kind of Saturn and Aries theme.

How do you have both the ambition,

The excitement,

The quick rise,

But making the quick rise last is very hard.

That's fascinating.

I have also seen those conversations playing out so it's very,

Very fascinating and the influence of Saturn and Aries.

Let's talk about Uranus and Gemini.

This is a big one.

This is a big one.

Can you tell us about that transit and those energies and themes?

Yeah,

Uranus is a fun planet.

It is a planet that tells us a lot about disruption,

Change,

Rebellion,

Revolution.

Like I said,

We are in a retrograde season so Uranus entered Gemini and right now it's retrograding at 29 degrees of Taurus and Uranus moves in a very unexpected way and really kind of shakes up what we're experiencing.

I love Uranus and Pluto for these reasons because they're a little bit chaotic,

But they are always moving us to something that will feel more aligned with our values as a collective.

It gives us an opportunity to reshape our values.

So Uranus,

While it was in Taurus,

To kind of give people some understanding of what we had been through,

While Uranus was in the sign of Taurus,

We had a lot of disruption and change around our money,

Our understanding of capitalism,

Financial markets,

Things like cryptocurrency and things becoming more relevant.

How do we reshape even our money becoming far more digital than it used to be?

The things that we value and the way that we exchange value all over the world has changed so much in that where I'm really excited and I hope all the writers,

Creators,

And content creators,

Podcasters,

We should all rejoice for Uranus and Gemini because it's going to do that but with our communication.

It's going to redefine the way we communicate.

I think we've started to see a taste already of it or we see so many large traditional journalists who have been on television creating their own brands and their own independent media brands.

Uranus and Gemini is going to put communication and information back into the hands of the people and outside of institutions.

I have full body chills.

This feels like a big one.

Like this feels massive.

This feels like big shake-ups.

Uranus and Gemini.

Yes,

Absolutely.

It will completely transform the way that we exchange information,

Who we find to be an information source.

Yeah,

I'm really excited about Uranus and Gemini.

Uranus and Gemini is a fantastic time for writers and content creators because a lot of plays,

Books that literally transformed the industry come out during Uranus and Gemini transits.

That's exciting.

Yes,

So it's a really great time for people to reshape the way that we communicate.

So the last time that Uranus was in Gemini was 1940s,

1941 to 1949,

And one of the cool things I saw was authors who literally never would have made it in other eras because they had a unique style.

During Uranus and Gemini,

Their stuff suddenly resonates with people.

William Faulkner is a great example.

His work before that,

People were like,

What is this?

You can't finish a sentence.

Why are these sentences four lines,

Five lines?

What's going on here?

But the work he released during Uranus and Gemini literally catapulted him.

And so many other authors,

There's so many incredible black authors who published work during this time that ended up being so iconic.

So Uranus and Gemini is a season for people who have been creating content that they feel like has been misunderstood.

People don't get it,

Or you feel like it's too niche,

Or you feel like it's too weird,

Or too unusual.

Uranus and Gemini is a time where people are so open to weird,

Interesting ideas.

And so I really,

Really recommend that everyone write,

Even if you're just writing in your journal,

Or if you're creating content,

Or if you have a business idea,

Please write during this time because everything that you thought about what was necessary to be a good writer is going to be turned on its head.

I love that.

Everyone turn up that creativity and get your thoughts out there.

I love it.

One other area,

And tell me if you agree,

That I feel like Uranus and Gemini is also highlighting,

Impacting,

Bringing forth,

Is around,

Especially with communication,

Around AI.

Yes,

Yes.

Uranus is traditionally ruled,

Uranus is ruled by Aquarius.

And Aquarius and the internet and artificial intelligence,

Absolutely.

So I think that the way that AI has been introduced to our society during Uranus and Taurus was a lot about,

Oh,

Well,

Look at what we've created,

This new technology,

Of course,

It has value,

Of course,

Invest in it.

And there has been an insane amount of investment around AI without actually seeing what it does.

What's the value?

There's a huge gap between the amount of money that's being poured into AI and the value of what it actually does or what it's actually able to produce.

Uranus and Gemini is really going to lift the veil and force AI and the people who are championing AI to actually show what value it is bringing to our society.

My thought is because Gemini Energy really values ingenious creativity,

I think that people are going to remember the magic of the human mind and remember that we cannot technologize everything.

And I think that AI is going to be pared down into very specific small use cases and kind of disappear into tools that we're using.

But I think that when we had Uranus in Taurus,

And there was such a capitalistic way of moving towards technology is better,

More money in technology,

Of course,

Tech is king.

And it's like,

Why is tech king?

Like,

What is it actually doing?

I love that.

And I love that this Uranus and Gemini transit is like supporting these discussions.

And I also just feel like with AI in particular,

Which has really blown up,

Right,

Just in general,

The talking about it,

Right.

And like you said,

The investment around it has blown up.

And I just feel like these discussions around like the proper use of it,

The value,

The ethics of it,

The data centers,

The environmental impact,

These are all discussions that are not going to go away that need to be had.

And I just love that this transit is encouraging that and supporting that.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

And these are necessary conversations to be had.

I have found I test AI tools a lot.

And I especially started testing it when people wanted to get like birth chart information from them.

And they are just not great.

I have only found the only thing that AI can do well is edit something I've already written.

That's all.

So it's like,

How is that different than like the little thing on Microsoft Word that used to pop up?

How far have we actually come?

Like,

What is the genuine value here of it?

But I think that while Uranus was in Taurus,

And I think people started to get scared about changes in our capitalist structure and society,

I think that it maybe made sense to lean into another technology tool and hope that it would save us.

But I think that Uranus in Gemini is going to remind us that,

You know,

The tool is only as valuable as what's underneath it.

Having an entire company propped up on just AI with no data,

With no value,

With nothing is not valuable to our society.

Yeah,

I love that.

And so can you share with us,

Please,

The low sides and high sides of this Uranus in Gemini transit?

Absolutely.

I think that,

Of course,

The high side is it's an excellent time for creatives.

It's a very,

Very interesting season for people to write,

People to publish.

I have seen people feeling like an artistic renaissance is coming.

I think that's definitely characteristic of Uranus in Gemini energy.

But I also think that the challenging or low side around it,

Too,

Can be that people can also get passionate around really bad ideas.

And that is also not great.

You know,

We had,

In the last time Uranus was in Gemini,

We had huge advancements around computers and television.

And then people weaponized those tools to brainwash people and to spread ideas that are harmful and to create silos and to create propaganda.

And so we also have to be mindful of the fact that just because everyone has access to information and communication and being a type of news source does not necessarily mean that bad ideas will not be able to grow.

Okay,

I do feel like we're seeing that shadow side come out a lot.

Yes.

Yeah.

So definitely people can create their own silos.

So while we could be excited that a journalist that we love is leaving a network television to have their own channel,

You also have to think that people who have incredibly harmful views are also doing the same thing and are also garnering their own community without the fact check and without the backup of a media institution.

Now this will change over time,

Right?

Like this will transform as Uranus is in Gemini.

We'll have,

You know,

Several years to see how it plays out,

But I do see that as a big,

A big possibility.

Yeah,

Definitely.

And you mentioned when you started talking about Uranus in Gemini,

This idea of rebellion and revolution,

Right?

The energy of with this transit.

And I do just want to say that I really do feel deeply that energy of change and revolution in the air.

And I also feel that people are ready for something new and different and people are really,

I feel at this point,

Really fed up and sick and tired of,

You know,

These systems and structures that we have in place that harm people and planet and only benefit the people at the top.

Definitely.

And that's really like,

I think,

A marriage between what's going on with,

Like I said,

Neptune in Aries last time was the Civil War,

Uranus in Gemini,

World War II,

Pluto in Aquarius is the war that started this experiment of the United States.

So these three transits that all happened during significant war times are now happening together.

It is very much desire to have a revolution and a change and for this world to look completely different than it used to.

Absolutely.

And it does really feel from everything that you've shared about these transits that there is this push and pull between the old world that's falling away and the new world being born.

And,

You know,

It's hard and uncomfortable.

But on the other side of all of these transits,

On the other side of all these transits,

I mean,

I mean,

Baby,

Like nothing is going to be the same.

I'm excited.

I feel like it's going to be a new world.

I feel like it's going to be so different.

It's going to be we can't even imagine it from our current vantage points.

But I just truly feel nothing will ever be the same again after these transits.

Never,

Never.

It's not going to look the same at all.

It's a complete transformation.

But yeah,

There is the old world resisting it.

Specifically,

I'm going to call out the baby boomers.

The Pluto and Leo generation is having their Pluto opposition right now because Pluto is an Aquarius.

So the baby boomers are losing it.

I mean,

So desperate to hold on to the old world.

And if we thought it was bad now,

Like it's only it's at one degrees Aquarius.

So it's going to keep going on.

There's going to be more baby boomers who are struggling to hold on to what this world used to be.

And it makes me excited because as a part of the millennial Pluto and Scorpio generation,

For us,

It's like,

I think the Pluto and Leo generation,

The baby boomers,

They expected us to fight for the old world.

And instead,

We're like,

Burn it,

Burn it down.

This is actually what we came here for.

Like our generation inherently feels as the Pluto and Scorpio generation.

We have seen time and time again that our governments and institutions have not been for the people.

And then we've tried to change it.

And they said,

We don't want change.

We don't want younger people.

We don't want you around.

So we're like,

Burn it.

We'll rebuild it.

We have time.

We're young.

We don't care.

Burn it down.

Burn it down.

Burn it down.

So it's very exciting to feel that and see that astrologically,

That it is a big part of our mission as a generation to see what was the old world burn,

But also the excitement and the opportunity of building something new and being able to usher the next wave,

The next era of what this is.

And I think again,

Like baby boomers,

I think they expected that if things crumble,

That we would run away.

But it feels like part of our mission to watch the institutions finally come down and then for us to finally be able to introduce something new.

Yeah,

I feel that that excitement.

Absolutely.

And so Mahi,

You mentioned you touched on this,

But I just want to highlight it.

How can we,

How do you recommend we work with these major transits on a personal level?

Absolutely.

I think the first thing is just being open to change and transformation,

Not as a scary thing,

Not as a harmful thing,

But something that is necessary.

Empires do not last through a Pluto transit if they are not serving the people.

It's 250 years.

Every 250 years,

Nature is going to be like,

All right,

What's going on over there?

Like,

Are y'all okay?

And if not,

It will come down.

So this is very cyclical.

Many of us have traveled to places and seen ruins of empires before and new empires come up and new communities are born and the people will always be okay at the end of it.

Our fate,

Our joy,

Our success as a society does not depend on the government,

Thank goodness.

And I think that it's really important to see this fall of an empire,

Not as a tragedy,

But as an opportunity and to be a more intentional member of your local community,

Support your local schools,

Support your local elections.

Think about how you can get involved.

There's so many town hall council meetings that people don't know are going on about decisions that impact your streets,

About decisions that impact a lot of your daily life.

And so I really encourage people to,

As you see maybe the larger institutions crumble and fall,

Think about how you can be a better member of your own village.

Yes,

I totally agree.

I love that.

And also on a personal level,

If you want to see how these major transits are impacting your birth chart,

You look at the house and the themes,

Right?

Mahi,

And look at where they are.

Yes,

Absolutely.

So looking at where these planets are interacting in your own birth chart,

What's really cool is if you have any of these collective planets touching on one of your personal planets,

It means that these collective changes get to activate something within you and your journey as well.

And I feel like that's so special.

I'm very excited for people who are having their Saturn return right now,

Or in Saturn and Aries,

The Saturn and Pisces people who are experiencing these reflections on their Saturn return.

It's a very exciting season.

And of course,

If you want more insight,

I think a one-on-one birth chart reading is the best way to get that detail.

But you can learn so much simply by seeing what house these planets will be in for the next several years.

Yes,

Thank you.

That's really helpful.

And so you touched on this,

Mahi,

But just to bring more awareness to it regarding the astrology of the United States,

We've really been going through it over here.

We've been in a bit of a dark night of the soul,

If you will,

And the 250th birthday of the United States is next year.

So can you kind of illuminate with the astrology what's going on?

Absolutely.

America is having its Pluto return because Pluto's back at Aquarius for the first time since America was created.

And as I said,

Empires don't last a Pluto return when they're not serving the people.

And I think that what we can experience during this 250th birthday is more than ever,

There's going to be a lot of conversations around why is our government structured this way?

Why do we have a two-party system?

Down to the very basics,

Like why are Indigenous people not in charge?

Things that people have not talked about in a big way are going to hit center stage and cause people to really revisit what is the foundation of this.

I think this Thanksgiving is actually a really big moment for that too because we have the black Lilith moon conjunct Venus during Thanksgiving,

And essentially what that brings is this energy of finally looking at the black sheep of the family or these outlandish ideas and actually taking them seriously.

And whether you have family members with different political views,

Whether you have a Thanksgiving that is Disney-fied where you don't think about the actual impact and meaning of history,

This Thanksgiving is going to have a very different tone to it.

Similar to I think that we saw this last Indigenous People's Day or Columbus Day had a very different tone to it.

I feel like more so than ever,

The legacy or the speaking about Columbus was much more erased this last Columbus Day than any that I've experienced in my lifetime.

And I think a lot of that is due to Pluto and Aquarius and kind of really being honest about what impact violence and genocide has had on the United States.

I already see these conversations infiltrating the collective on a huge level,

Absolutely.

So basically,

You said it's the Pluto return of the United States.

So it's going to continue to be intense.

Everyone be prepared.

You heard it here first.

Yes,

Yes,

Absolutely.

And it's like I said,

It's challenging for the baby boomer generation who they were here,

They came to Earth during Pluto in Leo and they very much were the me generation.

And what they did is they have restructured our society and our systems a lot to where they got to experience a lot of the benefits and they kind of closed the door behind them.

And so Pluto and Aquarius is incredibly committed to making things much more equal and accessible to people and putting power back in the hands of those who didn't have it.

So whether that is we're seeing more women in power,

Whether more people of color,

I think that Pluto and Aquarius will be a time where we're starting to talk about having people who are not born in the United States in leadership in the United States and having an honest conversation about what percentage of our country is immigrants and not and how we've been representing.

It's really massive.

Pluto really shakes up in an intense way,

But it does move slowly.

So it will be the Pluto return of the United States the whole time that Pluto is in Aquarius.

But of course,

The 250th birthday or when Pluto becomes exact to that point will be will be the most intense.

But I think it will be a beautiful rebirth.

That's essentially why Pluto destroys is so that we can be reborn much better.

And every empire that's fallen in a Pluto return,

They were reborn much better.

Yes.

So it's the fall of empire,

But it's the rebirth of something better.

Yeah,

Absolutely.

One thing I wanted to ask you,

Mahi,

Is,

You know,

A big thing that I've noticed as well is that all over the world,

But especially within the United States,

That everything that was once hidden beneath the surface has really come to light,

Right?

It's on full display.

All the corruption,

All the flaws in the systems and the institutions,

All the suffering,

All the ways the systems are harming the majority of people and only benefiting those at the top,

All the ego,

You know,

All the ways the United States has been influencing the globe for its own self-interest all these years,

All the global harm,

All the warmongering,

Right?

All the once hidden connections.

It's really all in our faces on full display,

Kind of hard to ignore anymore.

And you can't really hide it anymore.

So is there something in the astrology that explains this?

Oh my gosh.

Yes.

Pluto,

Our small and mighty warrior.

It's so rude of the astronomers to downgrade Pluto as a dwarf planet because Pluto's astrological impact is actually so massive.

I will like typically describe Pluto as Pluto is a planet that's gonna open the closet and pull up every single skeleton and it's not even gonna care.

It doesn't care how you feel.

It doesn't care how hard it is to process.

It doesn't care how nasty it is.

It's going to pull out every single skeleton of the closet.

And so in this rebirth and in this falling of the empire,

It exposes everything.

I mean,

Things you didn't want to know,

Like there is so much that gets exposed in this reckoning.

We could see that from media leading up to the American Revolution and leading up to the creation of the United States of how many things were deeply exposed of how corrupt it was to have this colonial institution.

But again,

Then it was reborn as another colonial institution.

So yeah,

Pluto is very,

Very relentless.

That's really exactly it.

And I do feel like you said,

We're being given this awareness and we're seeing all the skeletons so that we can do something about it and rebuild and build something better and new.

Absolutely.

Yes.

What's beautiful about Pluto and Aquarius too is,

You know,

All of this crumbling is so that more people can eat,

More people are taken care of,

More people feel supported,

More people are empowered.

We're also going to see a shift collectively in like the countries that we thought were at the top or first world are not going to be seen in that way as they're struggling in this era.

And what you will see as a lot of countries that were maybe previously called third world or like uncivilized,

Those will end up being beacons and examples for community.

I think a lot of time what's misunderstood is,

You know,

People will see technology and development as a measure of a society.

But Pluto and Aquarius is going to show that the countries that have all this technology and all this capitalism,

They're really lonely.

They're really separated from each other.

We're not hearing the same kind of disease and loneliness epidemics from countries where people are mostly in rural communities that have free healthcare in their countries,

That have their basic needs met,

That you can be living in a little hut with a little bag of clothes and be more nourished and taken care of than you can in an apartment in the United States of America.

And like that reality is going to be so visible to people that it will literally shift what we consider to be a successful country and what we consider to be a failing one.

My.

I mean,

I feel that so deeply in my heart.

I am just so thankful that we're having this conversation today.

Just thank you so,

So,

So much.

Truly.

Oh,

Man.

It's like I don't even have words.

It's like,

Yes,

Please.

I know it's hard.

I know it's hard and I know it's so uncomfortable.

And in the crumbling,

It's so uncomfortable.

But like,

Oh,

My gosh,

It's so needed.

It's so it's so needed.

And it is it is so worth it because we have known that the status quo has not been working for a very long time.

And it's an intense shakeup that is able to bring these rebirths.

And,

You know,

With Pluto,

It's like I love the way it can take down.

It's always the empires that you're like,

You know,

Rome will never fall.

Constantinople will never fall.

And then Pluto comes around.

It's like,

Just kidding.

Like,

Absolutely.

The end like you will be in ashes because it's really about what is underneath the surface of what has been built and what's underneath the surface of the United States of America,

Honestly,

Is a an institution that has been harming a lot more people than it's been helping.

Absolutely.

And built on harm.

I mean,

That's how we were formed,

Right?

The foundation.

Yeah,

The foundation is on harm and Pluto and Aquarius wants our foundation to be community.

Oh,

Yes,

Please.

And one thing I wanted to ask you as well,

Especially with the United States astrology,

Is even beyond 2026,

You know,

What are the energies and things we can expect?

And I'm especially interested in 2027 just because I've heard a lot of talk about 2027 and then that that that's a really pivotal year.

So can you kind of share with us a bit about kind of the future?

Yes.

Yes.

As I mentioned,

Pluto moves very,

Very slow.

So like right now,

We're still kind of ramping up to the Pluto return of the United States.

And I said that peak point next year is going to be very intense.

But 2027 is also very much part of that peak.

And so it is.

It's really going to feel like the nastiest part of the crumbling empire in 2027 for us as a collective.

Now,

How that's going to look like,

It doesn't mean like your neighborhood necessarily will look differently,

But it's like our systems,

Our institutions,

They're just going to be really different.

And things might be not as you're used to.

Things might crumble.

You might see companies,

You might see services that you have always kind of relied on fall away.

And I think the beauty of Pluto and Aquarius is it actually really encourages us to,

Instead of relying on the institutions or relying on a fancy leader up in a government building to save us,

What it does is it pushes people to fill in the gaps and to be there for each other in a different way.

So for example,

I've been seeing a lot of conversation around,

Of course,

Problems with the cost of healthcare,

Problems with the cost of childcare,

Right?

These being huge themes.

Our government clearly has had many conversations.

They can't figure it out.

They can't figure it out.

And so Pluto and Aquarius crumbling will feel like people really not being able to rely on hospitals in the way they used to,

Or being able to rely on daycare centers the way they used to.

However,

Pluto and Aquarius will also push people to do things like,

Well,

How can I live in a community where maybe the adults can swap off the daycare?

How can we create the village for us?

When I go to Ethiopia,

No one ever talks about daycare.

It's there.

You work as a village to raise the children together.

And so people will be reminded of that.

Same thing with hospitals.

There's a lot of medical professionals who are frustrated with the hospital spaces.

But if we remember,

Before we relied on these massive hospital spaces,

We had clinics in our community.

We had small places where we can get intimate service,

Where we can build relationships with people,

And we're not going to a big,

Fancy,

Scary building.

And so those are the kinds of things where things really kind of like come down and are integrated more into the village model,

As opposed to us looking to these higher institutions to figure it out for us.

I love that,

The village model.

And whether we like it or not,

Change is coming.

It's time for change,

Right?

That's what the astrology is saying.

That's what we're seeing on the ground.

And this is why we're saying it's time to get good with change,

It's time to evaluate your personal relationship with change,

As well as focus on your local community and build up your community.

Yes,

I think that's a great reminder.

Because I do know during COVID,

A lot of people really struggled with change.

A lot of people really struggled with this fantasy of what their life could have been,

Or how they thought things should go,

Or the experience they believed they were supposed to have.

But I don't believe in supposed to have,

There is no supposed to,

There is only what is meant to be and what is meant to unfold.

And so I think detaching from expectations,

Like if you are dreaming of like,

Working at a specific big prestigious tech company,

Like let's think about your dream in a more abstract sense,

As opposed to attaching it to specific companies and corporations that quite might not last through this.

AG Yes,

Absolutely.

Okay,

Mahi,

Let's take it down a notch.

Let's shift gears.

I'm like worked up over here,

Like my heart is fluttering.

Let's take the intensity down a notch.

And let's get personal,

Because I think there's also a lot of value here as well.

Can you please share with us some of the ways that you personally use astrology in your own life and relationships?

Very fascinated about this.

MH Yes,

Absolutely.

I use astrology,

I would say I actually look more to the collective planets than I do my personal transits.

The funny thing about like,

Being an astrologer is sometimes it's actually very hard to like,

Get in the gritty of what's going on with your own personal transits,

Because it's like,

I'm also the character in it.

So it's,

It's very hard,

Whereas it's so much easier to do it for another person.

So I love the collective,

Like the Jupiter,

Saturn,

Uranus,

Neptune,

Pluto.

I love looking at the of that and really understanding how I can better move in a season.

Also understanding the waves and shifts of things and trying to not anticipate,

But just like,

Guide people and provide those tools.

So I guess it's,

I guess it's hard to say like,

I feel like my personal work is a lot of just like trying to make these changes understandable for people and creating a structure,

Like a weather forecast.

And so for myself,

It's also a weather forecast.

It's me deciding,

Actually,

Here's a good example.

I recently used astrology to determine when I should take brand photos to update my website.

On a very like,

Practical level,

I wanted to do an update to my website.

And so as I was looking at the astrology,

I saw some timing that would be number one,

The timing that would be really good during my Venus return to take cute photos.

And then number two,

Time that would be really good for people to receive this transformed,

Changed version of my website,

And timing that with my chart,

Timing it with the chart of my business as well.

And so these are ways that I will,

I will take the astrology and I will take the energy and make it into very practical action items.

The Venus return one is actually one that I use a lot for photos and I highly recommend for people.

I plan my wedding during my Venus return because I want it to look cute in my photos.

Like,

Look at when Venus will be back in the sign that your Venus isn't in your birth chart.

And if you are planning like a new hairstyle or you're planning to take photos that will last a long time,

Do it during your Venus return.

Oh,

I love that.

And also too,

You shared with me before we hit record,

One thing I loved is that,

About your husband and your husband turning to you for astrology.

Can you share that with us?

Oh,

Constantly.

He works a lot with lots of children and parents.

So he'll come back from a day at work and be like,

What's going on with the moon?

What's going on my chart?

I just,

I need a little,

I need a little insight into what's happening and I'll pull up his chart and see what the transits are doing with his chart and give him like a few tools and takeaways to have because it's like,

You know,

You could feel the energy.

That's what I say.

Everyone can feel it.

If you talk to any healthcare professional,

They all believe in the power of the full moon because people act crazy in a hospital during the full moon and everyone knows it's because of the full moon or people in customer service.

Like you don't have to explain to them the impact of the moon because they see the general public constantly.

So I think people internally,

They can feel these things.

I don't think that astrology is the only way to intuitively pick up on this energy at all.

I just think astrology is a language to give you like tools and insights on how to navigate it and how to work with it.

It's telling you like,

You know what?

It's snowing today.

It's a good idea to wear a coat and some shoes.

You don't have to,

You can wear flip flops if you must,

But you would feel much warmer if you wore some boots and a coat.

Yes.

I love that.

It's the energetic weather forecast.

I love it.

And you know,

There's such a depth to astrology and this is why I love it so much because there's so many different lenses.

You can look at it,

Right?

So,

So many different ways to work with the astrology.

Everything from the daily transits to the moon phases,

To the way your birth charts interact in relationships,

All the way to,

You know,

The astrology of a country or,

Or a business,

Like you mentioned,

And everything in between.

It's really just a powerful tool available to us and so passionate about it.

Yes,

Absolutely.

It's such a,

It's such a great language and I feel like it's,

It's so universally applicable.

Everyone has a birth chart.

Every government has a birth chart.

Everything you could imagine,

You could pull a birth chart for.

And I,

I love that so much that it's not a tool that,

You know,

Doesn't work if it's not,

You know,

Something specific.

It,

It,

Really,

You can use it for everything.

Yeah,

Absolutely.

And you know,

Mahi,

One thing I want to bring up as well is I know you've been bringing astrology into corporate settings,

Which I find really fascinating.

I know companies have been hiring you to provide,

The corporate companies have been hiring you to provide,

To provide birth chart readings at corporate events to their employees,

Which I think is just like so,

So cool and like,

I don't know,

New earth.

So can you tell us,

You know,

Some of the takeaways you've seen so far and any shifts you've noticed in doing that?

Yes,

I think it's,

It's been very exciting for,

For me who has,

You know,

A very traditional background.

I went to law school,

Started off in law firms.

And so I never thought that my astrology readings and passion would bring me into corporate spaces in this capacity.

But I do think it's an example of how we're seeing Pluto and Aquarius impact companies.

I think that a lot more companies are realizing that this like top down hierarchical structure is not going to maintain good talent.

And they understand there needs to be a deeper sense of community.

And some companies are really being intentional about building community and helping people understand each other and themselves on a much deeper level than they used to.

And so it's really exciting to see companies make that meaningful investment.

I think contrary to popular belief,

Like astrology has always been in corporate and government spaces,

Like always,

Always,

Forever.

I always will joke sometimes about how,

You know,

The government's astrologer has like really scheduled an election on a crazy day or something.

Like we've always been in these spaces,

But I think that it's going to be in a much more public way.

Because like I said,

With Neptune and Pisces,

We also had a lot of this kind of religious extremism as well.

And that kind of like attacked other modes of understanding ourselves and kind of confused like spirituality and these tools.

And the truth is,

Everything has always coexisted together.

Astrology is a secular tool.

It's available to everyone.

You don't have to believe in anything.

The moon does not change whether you believe in it or not.

Like irrelevant,

We're still going to have a full moon.

And so the impact that I have seen is seeing employees feel really excited and energized about how they can use their skills in the workplace.

But I've also seen people really shedding a lot of shame around qualities in themselves that they thought were making them bad at parenting or bad at relationships or bad at their job.

And I think working with a birth chart helps people see that everything really works together and everything is a story together.

And judging ourselves on these like corporate performance review structures has really separated us from our gifts.

And so it's really beautiful to see more and more companies give people the opportunity to see how special they are and how much they have to offer and help them understand how to make an impact in their organization.

I love this so much.

This really feels like the future to me,

Genuinely,

Because I think it's a disruption of corporate norms,

But those corporate norms need to be disrupted.

So I love this.

It's like you're opening a crack in the doorway and it's kind of like taking their hand and leading them right into the future.

Yeah.

Well,

Marlee,

I would say it's a return to the past,

Right?

Let's think of what Indigenous communities look like.

You were supposed to go to people in your village for spiritual insight,

For personal development.

You're supposed to go to people that you know who are in your local area and community.

And I think that this is really a return to that and encouraging people to seek that out.

I think we had disconnected our spirituality or maybe only associated them with these larger institutions.

Even our personal development,

We had associated with these large institutions.

I'm going to be one of a million people to get the same self-help book.

And it's like,

Well,

No,

What about understanding more of you and who you are on an intimate level?

And so I really feel like this is a return to the past and a return to how things are always meant to be.

I love that answer.

And I love you.

And thank you so,

So much for being here today,

Marlee,

And sharing so much wisdom with us and your passion with us.

And I am just so,

So grateful.

Thank you so much for having me,

Marlee.

It is always a pleasure.

I love going so deep with you.

And it's beautiful that you have an audience that likes to go this deep with astrology.

Sometimes I feel like I can really,

Really nerd out and this feels like such a great place to do that.

So I'm so grateful.

I have one final question for you.

And I asked you this last time we chatted,

Which I believe was about two and a half years ago now.

And I'm just so curious to see how your answer has changed.

What is your vision for the future of humanity and the earth?

I want people to feel like they are a part of their village.

I really want people to feel like they know their neighbors and that they have resources in their local community and that they don't feel as lonely as capitalism has made us.

As we've learned today,

The energies are ripe for change,

Growth,

Transformation,

Healing,

And also action.

The question is,

Will you meet the moment?

Are you willing to let go of the stories that no longer serve your highest and greatest good?

Are you willing to let go of the systems and structures and institutions that no longer serve the highest and greatest good of society?

Are you ready and willing to build something new for yourself,

Your community,

And the world?

Do you have the courage to dream big and then start taking steps to act on those dreams?

Are you ready and willing to embrace change?

I for one hope the answer is yes.

I'll end today with a quote from astrologer Jill Winterstein.

The winds of change are coming.

Those who set their sails intentionally will find themselves carried to new and exciting shores,

While those who anchor to the past may find themselves fighting against an increasingly powerful current.

These astrological transits invite us all to become conscious participants in our evolution,

Both individually and collectively.

How will you answer this cosmic call?
