Hello,

And welcome to this meditation.

My name is Shana,

And I will guide you through a short relaxation meditation that hopefully will leave you relaxed to face whatever is happening in your day.

So,

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down,

And ensure that you will not be interrupted.

Gently close your eyes,

And breathe deeply,

Just noticing your breath.

In through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

A few cleansing breaths,

Just to center yourself.

Imagine yourself on a desert island,

Just you and your favorite things.

What might those favorite things be?

Perhaps it's a book,

Perhaps it's a musical instrument,

Perhaps it's people,

Perhaps it's your pet.

Perhaps it is something that you love to see every day in your backyard.

Imagine all the things that bring you joy,

That make you smile,

That light you up inside.

Think about those things.

Don't limit yourself,

Just let your mind wander.

When was the last time you took the time to enjoy those things?

When was the last time you picked up your guitar?

When was the last time you took a walk on your favorite trail?

When was the last time you let yourself go?

Can you bring those memories into your mind?

Can you bring those memories into your mind?

Perhaps with a smile.

How did you feel the last time you did some of those things,

Or visited with,

Or sat with some of those amazing things?

Places or people?

With a smile across your face,

Lean into the feeling of enjoyment,

Of sitting in the sunshine,

Surrounded by the things that you have put off,

The things that you have let go of,

The things,

Places,

And people that you have ignored.

Perhaps in your quest for success,

And I'm using air quotes,

And I'm using air quotes,

It's time to slow down.

Sitting in the sunshine on that desert island,

And if you don't like the sun,

There's a tree.

What would you do if you had all the time in the world?

How would you spend that time?

How would you add more joy to your life?

You're on a deserted island,

You're on a deserted island,

No one around,

No responsibilities,

You have access to food and water and shelter,

And you have all of the things around you,

People and places that bring you joy.

Can you see it?

More importantly,

Can you feel it?

Ground yourself in the feeling of having no responsibilities and easy access to all the things that you have.

That bring you joy.

How does that feel?

How is that different from when you first sat down and turned on this meditation?

Can you imagine a life where you pursue everything that brings you joy?

We've been conditioned to believe that we must suffer,

That we must work,

That we must endure our lives.

And that's a lie.

Your spirit guides,

Spirit,

Creator,

Source,

Ancestors,

Angels,

All want you to enjoy every minute of this life.

With ease,

Comfort,

And overwhelming joy.

It is not your destiny to simply exist,

To simply go from stressful situation to stressful situation in order to show other people that you're worthy.

You are always worthy of all of those things you see before you with your eyes closed on that desert island,

All the things,

People,

And places that bring you joy.

You have an abundance of time,

But not here on this earth.

Your time here is short,

And so feel what it feels like to have no responsibilities and no stress and overwhelming joy.

Think about why you continue to put those things off or to leave that musical instrument in the closet or sit in front of the television while you could be outside for a walk,

Connecting with nature,

With Mother Earth,

With all of the beings.

This is not to say that time has been wasted.

You've learned so many lessons.

You've endured so much.

But this meditation break is to remind you that you deserve all of these things.

You already have them.

You already have the time to enjoy them.

You just have to believe that you deserve it and that you can make those things,

People and places,

A priority.

You can make it happen,

And it will all fall into place.

It will all fall into line when you believe that you already have the time,

Energy,

And money to do the things that you wanna do,

The things that bring you joy,

The people,

Places,

And things that you've always wanted.

Nothing is out of grasp.

Nothing is out of your control.

Your mind is so powerful.

It has convinced you that you deserve it.

That you don't deserve to be happy.

Again,

That's a lie.

We all deserve overwhelming joy,

Happiness,

And prosperity.

It's our birthright.

Another deep breath.

When you begin to get stressful thoughts and feel like life is closing in on your dreams,

Think about the things that bring you joy and bring that image back into mind of that beautiful,

Beautiful place on that deserted island where you had all the things,

People,

And places that you love.

You deserve it all.

Another deep breath.

Feel the presence of joy in your life.

You deserve it.

It is your birthright.

Another deep breath.

And as we come back into our daily life,

Wiggle your fingers and toes gently open your eyes and adjust to where you're sitting or lying down.

One thing.

Allow yourself one thing today that brings you extreme joy,

Even for five minutes.

I love you and I wish you the best day today.

Namaste.

A lovely meditation break and a reminder to revisit those things that bring joy in my life. This guidance to recall, reconnect, and rejoice in all that I do that to bring joy and wonder into my life was timely. This last month I've been removed from my norm and I am grateful to be stepping back into it. The prompts to ponder all the things that I do and have done was a reminder that there is always more I can find and that it is time to reconnect. Namaste and thank you!

Shauna. What a profound breakthrough I had during this meditation. I fall into this trap more often than I would like to admit. I recently left a job that was sucking the joy and happiness out of me. That was the first step. I am ready to move into my new role with a fresh start and new perspective. Thanks for sharing this wonderful practice with our community.
