Just for today,
Meditation.
Find yourself seated someplace comfortably or lying down if that's better for you today.
Simply just acquainting yourself with your breath,
Noticing inhales and exhales as they come and go.
Beginning to feel the parts of you that are touching a surface.
Feeling the support that's underneath of you.
And starting to feel the places on your body that are not touching anything.
That are free in space.
Noticing any thoughts that may come or go from our busy minds.
And simply deciding within ourselves to be here now.
Instead of thinking and doing,
Returning to feeling and being.
Start to slow down your breath.
Inhaling for a longer period of time through the nose.
And finding a longer,
Slower exhale.
Simply long,
Slow inhale.
And long,
Slow exhale through the nose.
Each round of breath,
Can you get a little longer and slower with your exhale?
Finding another breath in and out through the nose,
Beginning to follow the words and you can even repeat them in your mind if you choose.
Just for today,
I will not worry.
Just for today,
I will not be angry.
Just for today,
I will do my work honestly.
Just for today,
I will show kindness to every living thing.
And just for today,
I will be grateful.
Just for today,
I will not worry.
Just for today,
