Since we live in a three-dimensional world,
Our physical senses register only a small fraction of what's going on around us.
This limited perception creates the feeling of separation from everything beyond what we can see and hear.
But reality is much bigger than this.
Scientists are now seeing what spiritual traditions have known all along,
That we are all connected to each other,
To God,
And to Source.
Einstein said that every point in space and time is connected.
And Erwin Schrödinger said that the number of minds in the universe is one.
There are a few ways to experience this connection,
This oneness.
One way is to understand where it all started and where you started.
One metaphor that describes how we are all connected comes from Neil Donald Walsh's Conversations with God series,
Where God is described as shattering itself like a mirror into trillions of pieces to create all living things.
Each fragment reflects the divine,
Carrying the whole within it.
In this view,
God's Source is a part of all of us.
A similar idea appears in the Kabbalah,
Which teaches that God created the universe by condensing its infinite light into an infinite density and then exploding itself out into all directions so that every part of the universe contains the essence of God.
A third metaphor for our divine connection is a hologram.
A hologram is a two-dimensional picture that uses special light techniques to create an image that looks three-dimensional.
The light passing through or reflecting off of each tiny portion of the holographic plate reconstructs the whole image.
So even if you cut a small piece from the hologram,
That piece still has the information to recreate the entire image.
It's like ripping up a picture of a flower.
All the pieces contain the image of the complete flower.
A fourth metaphor for our intimate relationship with God's Source is a fractal,
A never-ending pattern that repeats itself.
Every part of the fractal looks very similar to the whole image,
Regardless of how large or small it is.
For example,
The complex pattern of a snowflake is a fractal.
A close-up view of its arms and branches mirror its overall shape.
God's Source consciousness is the primary structure or source of all existence.
This consciousness manifests in the physical world by fractalizing its energy.
As the energy is fractalized,
It creates the diverse and complex structures we observe in physical world.
This implies that everything in the universe is interconnected and part of one Source,
One Spirit,
One God.
To experience this consciousness,
We can ask God's Source to help us adjust our perspective and see our divine connection.
The following meditation may help.
Oneness Meditation You have a name,
An address,
And a family.
Maybe you are tall or short,
Have brown hair or blonde.
There are many things that make you unique,
But you are much more than that,
Something many of us miss.
To see what I mean by this,
I invite you to close your eyes,
Relax,
And let this visualization take you on a journey.
Imagine you are in a large darkened room.
In front of you is a long narrow table,
With a white tablecloth extending to your right and left.
Now one by one in your mind's eye,
Place the things on the table that make you who you are in this life.
You may want to start with your name,
Your age,
Your gender,
Your address,
Or your date of birth.
You can also add the schools you went to,
Your driver's license,
Your profession,
And educational degrees.
Or that you are a father,
A mother,
A son,
A husband,
Or wife.
You can also place your childhood memories on the table,
Just for a few moments.
You will get back to them shortly.
Take some time with this,
So you don't miss anything that makes you who you are,
Or distinguishes you from all others.
Now after you've placed everything you can think of that defines you on the table,
What's left?
Who's standing there looking at all these items?
Some may say there's nothing standing there because a person is a sum total of all the things that define them.
Others say it's the timeless essence of a person that remains,
Their consciousness,
Or infinite soul.
Spend some time in this space,
Remembering that you are not just the items and attributes on the table.
Now turn around slowly so that your back is to the table.
You are looking into a golden white light,
Like a sunrise.
There's no form,
No images,
No thought,
And no sound.
It's pure love.
Be present in this moment.
This is the all that is,
Source,
The eternal consciousness of the universe.
It is God,
Without all the religious symbolism.
Picture yourself being enveloped in this light,
Like a drop of water falling back into the ocean.
Stay in this state for several moments to feel the warm love,
The feel of home,
And the expansiveness of being part of everything.
Feel the intense and profound peace.
This is what eternal reality feels like.
When you're ready,
Turn back towards the table with all the items you placed on it.
The moment you do this,
You're projecting your consciousness into the physical world.
You're fractalizing your divine energy and recreating the hologram of this life and this time.
You can see now how unreal these things that you think make you who you are really are.
They are a projection,
Very real to you in this time,
But still a projection.
It's just like waking up from a vivid dream that moments before felt very real to you.
After sitting with these thoughts and emotions for a few moments,
Slowly and gently come back to your awakened state,
Knowing that anytime you wish you can return.
Now we are back.
This is how we can see beyond the chaos,
Unrest,
And hatred in this world,
And return to home,
To peace and love,
The only true real things in the universe.
This concludes this meditation.
I hope you enjoyed this time and made the connections most beneficial for your highest good.
