Hi there.
Thank you for joining me for this short meditation.
More importantly though,
Thank you for showing up for you.
This is my first recording for Inside Timer,
So if this is your first time exploring the world of mindfulness and you feel a little uncomfortable and unsure,
Then I have some good news for you.
So do I.
But that is okay.
Together we will recognize and allow this discomfort in our bodies and let it be there.
To start,
Let's find a comfortable posture,
Posture that works for you.
There is no wrong or right way to do this.
What is important is that you feel as comfortable as you can be.
So take a moment to find a posture that's comfortable for you.
You can be sitting down,
You can be lying down,
Whatever works for you.
To bring us into the present moment,
Let's take a deep breath in together and slowly let it out.
Now go ahead and slowly close your eyes.
I love inspirational quotes.
I love the wisdom that is holding these words.
Today I want to share a quote with you from a poem entitled Clearing by Martha Postlewaite,
Who I think is very apt.
Do not try to save the whole world or do anything grandiose.
Instead,
Create a clearing in the dense forest of your life.
With that in mind,
Together let's take another deep breath in and slowly let it out.
Let those words sink in.
Let them become a part of you.
And again,
Let's take a deep breath in and slowly let it out.
Just watch your breath for a moment.
Feel how the body breathes itself without any intervention needed from you.
Placing your hands on your heart,
Repeat after me,
I love you.
Thank you for always having my back.
I am okay now.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am love.
I am peace.
I am enough.
I am.
I love you.
Thank you for always having my back.
I am okay now.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am peace.
I am enough.
I am.
Really feel the meaning of those words.
Internalize them.
Let them become a part of your very being.
Together let's take a deep breath in and slowly let it out.
Take another deep breath in and slowly let it out.
I want to thank you for joining me today and for taking the time to take care of your mental well-being.
For taking the time to allow yourself to just be.
I believe that if more of us do this every day the world could be a better place.
So thank you.
I send you peace and love and until next time,
Namaste.
