Setting The Tone For Your Day

The world seems to have set a pace that nobody asked for and no one can keep pace with. Yet we have to get up every day, face the world head-on and above all be true to ourselves. While the pace is fast, we need to find ways to slow down. Find moments of calm, moments of quiet, moments to simply appreciate being alive.

Welcome,

And thank you for joining me.

The world seems to have set a pace that nobody asked for and no one can keep pace with.

Yet we have to get up every day,

Face the world head on,

And above all be true to ourselves.

While the pace is fast,

We need to find ways to slow down.

Find moments of calm,

Moments of quiet,

Moments you simply appreciate being alive.

Let's take one of those moments right now.

Find a place where you can be yourself and where you will not be disturbed.

Find a comfortable posture whether this is sitting or lying down and close your eyes if it is comfortable for you to do so.

We will start with some breath work and then I will recite a few affirmations to help set the tone for your day.

To settle our mind and body we will do 3 sets of 4,

7,

8 breathing pattern.

We will breathe in through our nose for a count of 4,

Hold our breath for a count of 7,

And breathe out through our mouth for the count of 8.

I will count for the first cycle and then simply breathe along for the remaining 2 cycles.

Let's get started.

Continue with the above pattern for 2 more cycles.

Let your breath return to normal.

Let your breath return to its normal cycle.

Place your hands on your heart.

Connect with your inner self and repeat after me.

Another quote from Jonathan.

Today is a wonderful day to be alive.

The rest is up to me.

I hope this practice and these words have helped set the tone for your day.

You can open your eyes if you have them closed.

Take a deep breath and drink in all the beauty that surrounds you.

Go out and live your best life.
