Closing our eyes with a gentle smile like seeing a friend excited to visit you.

Let's greet the air visiting our body.

Find a sense of the breath being there for you and return that favor with interest and gratitude.

Find a sense of your breath's natural rhythm like watching waves on a beach or swinging on a swing set.

And just as we greet our breath with kind awareness,

See if you can remember the last person who greeted us with simple and kind attention.

Can we remember what that felt like?

What's it like for someone to just be there for you?

Can we remember how it pulled us away from the future or past and welcomed us into finding awareness with them?

Can we remember the last time we authentically expressed the joy of simply being present with someone?

A kind smile to a passing stranger noticing someone get excited about their favorite snack.

Let's see if we can find gratitude in how our simple attention makes others feel safe and important.

Who makes you feel important and safe?

Feel free to think of some of the ways your presence has manifested kindness,

Compassion,

And gratitude.

Let all the ways that you've helped others feel cared for and important wander freely into your mind.

With every breath,

Breathing in,

Appreciation for ourselves,

Gratitude for our loving kindness,

Breathing out any sense of doubt and apprehension,

Breathing in gratitude,

Breathing out surrender.

On your next in breath,

In your mind,

Using your own name,

Say thank you to yourself.

Notice what reacts within you.

Say I love you to yourself.

Say I'm here for you.

Notice how your heart pulses with light and when you notice who comes forward within you when you say these words.

Kindly greet your brightest inner light and surrender into simply enjoying your presence together.

Remember this light is always there and always has been there.

Know you can always come back to this spot anytime you need to by saying to yourself,

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm here for you.

I'm listening.
