
Release + Restore

Journey with me through a 20 minute guided meditation designed to help you release stored emotions, physical discomforts, and other energetic blocks that lower the ‘feel good’ sensations in your body. This gentle practice of grounding and releasing assists the body in its return to an optimal state of love, joy, and peace.
Transcript
Bring yourself into a comfortable seated position.
Let your eyes close.
Take a big breath in through your nose,
Filling up the belly and the lungs.
Then exhale through your mouth.
Take a second one just like that,
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhaling out of your mouth.
One more time,
Inhale.
And exhale.
Seal your lips.
Begin inhaling and exhaling through your nose.
Making it as slow,
Steady and deep as you can.
You may wish to constrict the back of your throat and create that ujjayi breath.
This beautiful sound of the ocean at the back of your throat.
You may return to this sound,
To your breath at any point throughout our meditation when you feel distracted.
Come back to the breath.
Draw your attention to the crown of your head,
To your scalp.
Feel your scalp melting down toward your shoulders.
Relax the muscles in your forehead,
Lifting your eyebrows and letting them fall naturally in place.
Soften the corners of your eyes and relax the cheeks.
Soften the corners of your mouth.
Drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Relax your jaw,
Opening and closing the mouth a few times until it feels soft.
Relax the back of your neck and your shoulders,
Letting them drop away from your ears.
Invite your entire arms down to your fingertips to relax.
Let your hands rest softly in your lap with your palms facing up to receive,
Fingertips curling in.
Relax the top of your back and your mid-back and your lower back.
Feel your chest and your heart relax.
Feel the release and softening of your belly.
Feel the softness of your thighs and your calves and the space around your shins,
Even your ankle joints and your feet.
Relaxing everything inside of you to the tips of your toes.
Take a few breaths,
Moving back up and down your body,
Checking in on your physical space.
Is there anywhere else inside the physical body where you are holding or tensing,
Gripping?
Send your next exhale there.
Draw your attention toward your hips,
Toward your seat,
And with your mind's eye or your imagination,
Picture yourself sitting on a stump.
You notice this stump's roots as they begin traveling down into the earth.
Keep following these roots down through the many layers of earth,
Hundreds of miles,
Thousands of miles.
Keep traveling down farther and farther and farther,
Watching these roots go all the way down to the center of the earth.
Draw your attention back up toward your hips and notice the way that you begin melting,
Becoming one with this stump.
Its roots now feel like your roots.
Feel the sensations of this groundedness,
This beautiful connection to Mother Earth.
Bring your attention down toward your feet.
We will now move through the energetic body,
Inviting corners of you,
Pieces of you that feel as though they are pulling you out of balance,
Or out of alignment,
Or away from love,
To show themselves to you.
Choose a color and assign these things,
This color,
As you move through your body.
Anything that makes you feel off or lower in energy.
These could be emotions.
They could be words that you hear in the monkey mind.
Perhaps you see a memory where it lives in your body,
A trauma,
A story,
The thing that happened 15 minutes ago.
Breathe deeply as you explore your energetic body,
Looking for energies that pull you away from alignment,
Away from your highest expression,
And let them light up.
Notice the way that the body reacts to this invitation,
This moment of deep exploration to the dimly lit spaces,
The shadowed corners of you.
Is there hesitation?
Is there excitement?
Just notice.
You may come across something that's calling for more attention.
Be with it for a few breaths.
See it from every angle.
Simply let it be.
Keep moving through your body from your toes to the crown of your head,
Asking these things to show themselves to you.
Spending time in that space between your ears,
The thoughts,
The mind.
Checking in on your heart's space,
Feeling into the belly and your hips.
These pieces may continue to rise to the surface as we move on.
Again with your mind's eye or your imagination,
Place a gold shovel in your right hand.
You may get a visual or maybe you just sense it's being there.
Just trust.
Come down to your feet with that gold shovel and start moving through your body,
Scooping up these lit up pieces,
These energies that pull you out of balance,
That pull you down,
That pull you away from love.
Scoop them up into this gold shovel.
Breathe deeply.
Again,
Noticing if something wants to stay.
Maybe it's not ready to go.
So have another moment with it,
Seeking the lesson,
The gold,
The learning,
The reason for its existence and maybe then it can be released.
Check in on the body and the way that it is responding as you scoop up these pieces,
As you create space in your energetic body through this release.
And if you find that something just doesn't want to go,
Note it and move on.
You can return to it later,
Sitting with it,
Learning from it.
As your shovel begins to fill,
Bring it down toward your hips and create a pile.
Before releasing this pile,
Take a moment in gratitude for the way that these things have served you up until this very moment,
Growing you somehow,
Some way.
Give them thanks,
Trusting that everything is always for us.
And as you feel ready,
One by one,
Begin releasing these things down those roots.
Watch them fall through the layers of the earth,
All the way down to the center of the earth.
Stay with your deep breaths.
Again,
Check in on the body.
How do you feel in this moment of release?
How does it feel to create space inside your energetic body,
Inside this healing?
Is there anything that the body is trying to hold on to?
When your pile is gone,
Draw your attention back up to the crown of your head.
And at the crown of you,
Create a ball of radiant golden light.
Let it rest there at the top of you.
And inside this ball of golden light,
Write your name in magnetic ink.
This will be your attractor,
Your magnet,
Helping you call those beautiful,
Divine,
Truest pieces of you back home into your energetic body.
Right now,
You have many spaces inside of your energetic body where we have just released that which no longer serves.
So in just a moment,
We will be filling you with this beautiful,
Healing golden light.
So up above you and this ball of golden light at your crown,
Let words begin to appear.
Words that feel like they support your highest rise.
Words that feel like they belong to you.
Words that are your truest nature.
Love.
Joy.
Health.
Peace.
Abundance.
Wisdom.
Right knowing.
Keep seeing these words,
These things that are yours and have always been yours.
You may have just given them away over time.
Watch them start to make their way into this ball of healing golden light at your crown.
Watch this ball of golden light grow bigger and bigger as you fill it with all of you.
The greatest you.
Notice how the body feels in anticipation of receiving this incredible healing.
Your return home.
Begin pulling this ball of healing golden light down through the space between your ears.
Watch healing golden light fill your thoughts.
Heal the monkey mind.
Bring this healing golden light down the backs of your lenses,
Washing away your eyes.
Any pain there.
Shifting the way that they now see self and the world.
Move healing golden light through your ears,
Forever changing the way that you hear.
Move healing golden light down through your nose and your mouth and down into your heart.
Trusting this healing supports your truest expression.
Healing your beautiful heart space,
Filling and filling with golden light.
Move it through your entire chest and into your back and down your arms.
Feel healing golden light in your palms.
Keep moving it down through your entire torso.
Watch it rushing into those spaces where those things that no longer served once lived.
Keep drawing healing golden light into your hips,
Filling and filling and filling.
Move it into your legs,
All the way down to your ankles and your feet.
To the tips of your toes.
Healing golden light running through you.
Take a few more breaths to move up and down the body,
Ensuring that healing golden light has made its way through every little corner of you.
And now you are 100% you.
You in all your power.
You in your truest nature filled with love and light.
And all that you called home.
Take a big breath in through the nose and an open mouth exhale.
We will begin to push this healing golden light three feet out from your physical body on all sides of you.
So as to contain you and hold you in healing golden light,
Take a big inhale through your nose.
And as you exhale,
Push healing golden light one foot out on all sides of you.
Take another inhale through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Push another foot on all sides of you.
One more time,
Inhale.
Exhale,
Push that healing golden light until it is three feet on all sides of you.
Feel yourself held in healing golden light.
Draw your left hand to your heart.
Feel your heartbeat.
Feel your breath as your chest rises and falls.
Tuck your chin,
Bowing to you in your highest.
Taking yourself in,
Knowing what it feels like to be 100% you.
And then gently lift your head.
Place your hand back in your lap.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take in your surroundings.
And continue to remain extremely present to the way that things have shifted following your healing.
You may stay here in stillness,
Taking it all in for as long as you wish.
