Hello,
Welcome back.
I'm Sarah,
A somatic facilitator and coach,
Here to help you build nervous system resilience so you can live up to your fullest potential with ease and confidence.
I'll be guiding you through meditation.
Breath works.
Visualization and deep rest so that you can explore the pause between where you've been and where you're going.
Welcome to liminal space.
Today we'll be moving through a breath practice for when you feel stuck.
When there's a stagnant energy that needs moving through.
So find a comfortable position whether seated or lay.
And invite yourself to relax into the earth beneath you without force.
If you're feeling flat,
Heavy or like something has become still for a little too long.
This practice is an invitation to create movement.
Not force or pressure but momentum.
Start to notice that feeling within.
You might map the body and locate where its energy lives.
Fogginess,
Tension.
Lack of motivation.
You don't need to change anything.
Just notice.
Awareness itself creates movement.
And energy often follows movement.
Take a slow inhale fully into the lungs.
And a slow sigh out of the mouth.
Taking two more breathing in.
.
.
And release out of the mouth.
Final time,
Slowly in.
And sigh release.
We're going to take one round of eight breaths of equal breathing in for four,
Out for four And then we'll move into three rounds of eight breaths where we'll inhale twice and exhale once.
For these two rounds we will breathe in through the nose.
For these three rounds we will breathe in through the nose and gently exhale through pursed lips.
It will sound a little like this.
And then we will take one final round of the equal breath to finish.
The equal breaths are to bring a state of balance and a calm alertness to the body.
Whereas the double inhale will create the movement of energy that you are looking for.
With each of these breaths,
See if you can allow the air to ripple expansively through the belly,
Ribs and the chest.
So just taking a normal breath to prepare,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And when you are ready,
We'll breathe in and out.
Three,
Four,
Out.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Inhale Exhale.
Out.
Releasing all control of your breath and invite your breath to settle.
And then when you are ready,
We'll breathe in,
In,
Out.
In,
In,
Out.
You letting your breath go and let it settle back into its intuitive rhythm.
Notice if anything has shifted within.
Whether mentally,
Physically,
Emotionally or energetically.
And just be with what's there,
With what remains as your body relaxes deeper.
And we'll move through this again when you're ready.
We'll breathe in,
In,
Out.
In,
In,
Out.
Bye bye.
You Release control of your breath and allow your breathing to find its natural pace again.
Just be curious as to what's changed.
If anything,
You don't need to seek for it.
Just be curious as to anything that's changed within.
Not seeking,
But letting the sensations arise if they're there and if they're not,
That's fine.
Just be with what is.
And notice.
We've got one more final round of this energetic breath.
So when you're ready,
We'll breathe in,
In,
Out,
In,
In,
Out.
Bye!
And then letting everything go,
Release your breath.
Your breath gently makes its way back to its organic flow.
Just take these next few moments to map the body and how it feels.
Maybe you can imagine anything that felt stuck or stagnant earlier has melted with the breath.
There might be a sense of spaciousness that you've created.
A felt sense of expansiveness from within.
And give yourself permission to just receive whatever is there.
We will end on eight breaths of an equal inhale for the count of four and an exhale for the count of four.
So when you're ready we'll breathe in and out.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Out.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Inhale Exhale.
Out.
And really Feel harmony,
Settle within.
A coherence as all of the energies align Just ask yourself what remains after this practice.
Does your energy feel more resonant,
More gathered,
More whole?
And know that you don't need to feel any particular way right now,
Just let it unfold as time passes.
Take a new found energy with you as you leave this practice.
And allow it to help you find momentum toward more vitality and levity.
If you're feeling a little lighter,
Please share this with somebody who needs it today.
Rest well,
And I'll see you next week.
