Take a deep breath,
Close your eyes.
As you breathe in and as you breathe out,
Just become aware of yourself.
And as you do that,
Again become aware of what you are becoming aware of within yourself.
What am I becoming aware of within myself?
Is it my thoughts?
Is it my emotions?
Is it my sensations?
Or is it my external communication,
My relationships?
What do I identify and register as myself?
You now think of a house,
A home built on a strong foundation.
You've dug deep.
You've laid a good foundation,
A solid foundation.
And on top of that is a structure that's your home.
You made sure that the foundation was deep enough and strong enough with the right materials.
So that the structure on top,
What's visible to you on top,
What you actually use on top,
Can withstand all the challenges of time and can still remain strong and supportive,
Holding you for a long period,
Holding you in a space of comfort.
How deep you've dug,
How strong the foundation is not visible to others.
Once you've done it,
It's not even visible to you.
It may have taken some time to do all this.
And yet once you've done it,
It's there for a long time.
Depending on how strong and what materials you've used,
It would last you a long time.
You now think of being on the beach and you're enjoying yourself,
Having a good time,
And you build a nice beautiful sand castle.
You make a really nice,
Large,
Beautiful sand castle.
You appreciate it,
You like it,
You find it beautiful.
But how long does it last?
What space does it give you?
It's gone with the first wave that touches it,
Or with one strong wind that blows it away.
Or it crumbles little by little with the breeze,
The wind,
The water,
And people treading on it.
The same with yourself,
With your life.
How deep are you going within yourself?
How deep do you know to go?
How deep do you want to go?
The deeper you connect with yourself,
The stronger your foundation.
And the more you'll hold yourself in a space of safety,
Of love,
Of compassion.
This is the time to do that.
See this not as a time for isolation,
But as a time for deep connection.
To connect deeply with yourself so that you can connect deeply with others.
Whether in person,
Whether through your heart,
The connection can remain.
A deep connection can be felt.
So go within through your own breath or through your own sensations.
Eat mindfully,
Consciously.
Be aware of your thoughts.
Be aware of your body.
And step by step,
You'll start going deeper and deeper within yourself.
Take a deep breath.
Another deep breath.
And one more.
And then whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes and come back to the room.
