Welcome to release emotional weight in meditation for softening and letting go.
Third meditation in the Embodied Calm series.
Collection of five guided meditations created to help you ground,
Soften and and move through life with greater ease.
Take a moment now to settle.
You've arrived and that in itself is enough.
There's nothing to fix or force here.
This is simply a space to let go.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Let your body find its own natural rest.
Feel the support beneath you,
The ground is holding you so you don't have to.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.
Noticing it moving in and out without needing to change it.
Each inhale drawing you closer to yourself.
Each exhale loosening what's ready to leave.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale softly through your mouth as if releasing a quiet sigh of relief.
Again,
Breathing in calm.
And breathe out anything heavy.
And now allow your awareness to travel through your body.
Start at the crown of your head and move gently downwards.
Noticing where you might be holding tension pressure.
Or emotion that feels stuck.
You don't need to name it,
Just feel it.
Let your body speak in its own language.
Perhaps there's tightness in the chest.
Or a dull ache in the belly.
Maybe it feels like a weight across your shoulders or a lump in your throat.
Wherever it is,
Bring your breath there now.
Imagine the breath as a warm soft light It moves gently into that space.
No rush,
No demand.
Just light,
Meeting,
Whatever is ready to be seen.
Inhaling light.
.
.
Exhaling release.
You might begin to sense movement now.
A softening,
A loosening,
Like the first cracks of sunlight after a long night.
There's no right or wrong here,
The emotion doesn't need to be solved.
Just needs space to be felt.
And as you breathe,
Imagine you're standing beside a calm river.
The water is clear,
Slow and steady.
Each exhale sends a small stream of what you're releasing into that river.
Worries,
Fear.
Old memories.
Anything too heavy to keep carrying.
Watch now as the water takes it gently away.
Carrying it back to the earth.
Where it can be transformed into something new.
With each breath you feel lighter.
Your body softens.
Your heart opens just a little more.
You whispered to yourself.
It's safe to let go.
It's safe to feel.
It's safe to soften.
And now bring one hand to your heart.
And one hand to your belly.
Feel the rhythm between them.
The heartbeat.
The rise and fall of your breath.
This is life flowing through you.
Steady.
Trustworthy.
Ever present.
If emotions,
Stares,
Tears,
Warmth.
Tingling.
Let it all come now.
That's your body saying thank you.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for finally letting me exhale.
Breathe deeply again.
Inhaling light.
.
.
.
Compassion.
Forgiveness.
And exhaling heaviness.
Resistance.
And old stories.
Let your breath do the work.
You don't need to push.
Release happens through surrender.
Imagine now.
A golden light expanding from your heart.
With each breath it spreads through your whole body.
Through the chest.
Palms.
Hips.
Feet.
Until you're surrounded by this soft glow.
This is your energy when it's free to be.
Peaceful.
Open.
Radiant.
Let the body rest here for a few breaths.
Still.
Spacious.
Light.
Notice how it feels to not hold anything to simply be.
And now bring to mind this gentle truth.
You don't have to carry what's not yours.
You don't even have to carry what was yours.
You can lay it down now,
With love.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose.
And sigh it out through the mouth.
Let every exhale whisper,
I release.
When you're ready.
Start to bring small movements back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Roll your shoulders or stretch your arms overhead.
Take one last nourishing breath.
Inhaling light.
And exhaling peace.
You are lighter now.
Freer.
And everything you released has made room for something beautiful to take its place.
