Hello,
My name is Ruth and welcome to Forest Adventure.
In this gentle guided meditation,
You will journey to a peaceful forest where you can connect with nature through calming imagery and deep relaxation.
This practice can help you reconnect with a sense of safety,
Joy,
And inner peace.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting down or lying down.
Gently rest your head on a pillow,
Making sure you feel supportive and relaxed.
When you're ready,
Gently close the eyes,
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Feel your whole body begin to relax,
Softening from the very top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Take another deep breath in,
Through the nose,
Allow that oxygen to make its way to the base of your lungs,
Filling your belly and the sides of your belly,
And as you breathe out,
Let your body soften and release any tension.
We're going to journey to a peaceful,
Magical forest.
It's a place where you can feel completely safe,
At ease,
And connected to yourself.
Let's begin by taking one more slow breath in through the nose,
And as you exhale,
Just let all the thoughts from today drift away like clouds floating across the sky.
Now imagine you're stepping into the most beautiful,
Dense forest you've ever seen.
The trees are tall and majestic,
The sunlight filters gently through the branches,
With hues of orange and red reflecting on the leaves,
And the air is crisp and clean.
You feel completely at peace here.
It's a special place,
Just for you,
Where you feel happy,
Safe,
And relaxed.
As you take a step further into the forest,
Notice the sky above you.
It's a beautiful light blue,
With soft,
Fluffy clouds floating by.
The sunlight feels warm on your skin,
And a gentle breeze caresses your face.
All around you,
Colorful butterflies dance playfully through the air,
As if welcoming you to this serene place.
You continue to explore,
Walking along a soft,
Winding path.
Take a moment to notice the trees around you,
Each one unique.
With different shades of green,
Different heights.
Some trees are flowering,
Their blossoms bright and fragrant.
Others are fruit trees,
With ripe fruit hanging from the branches,
While some are adorned with small,
Vibrant berries.
The wind gently sways the leaves from side to side,
Creating a soft,
Rustling sound that just soothes you.
As you walk deeper into the forest,
Feel the cool breeze wash over your face,
Relaxing you even more with each step.
Breathe in deeply into your belly,
And as you do,
Take in the fresh,
Fragrant air of the dense forest,
And the flowers filled.
As you exhale,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation,
Softening each muscle group,
Melting into the surface you're laying on.
Knowing that you are safe,
Calm,
And at peace in this special place.
As you walk further into the heart of the forest,
You come across a cozy,
Inviting spot.
Somewhere between two trees,
You notice a soft,
White hammock,
Swaying gently in the breeze.
It looks so comfortable and peaceful,
And a small sign next to it says,
Welcome.
You know this is a place where you can rest and feel completely at ease.
You gently lower yourself into the hammock,
And as you do,
It feels as if you're lying on a bed of feathers.
The hammock cradles you softly,
And you feel the weight of the world just melt away.
You take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any remaining tension.
The gentle sway of the hammock,
The quiet of the trees,
And the warmth of the breeze make you feel completely relaxed and at peace.
Above you,
The white clouds slowly drift by,
And two purple butterflies flutter around the trees,
Dancing playfully in the air.
As you breathe in,
You feel the calm,
And you feel serene.
As you breathe out,
You relax even deeper into the hammock,
Feeling as though the forest itself is just wrapping you in a gentle,
Loving hug.
Take a few moments here,
Watching the clouds float by,
Looking like cotton candy,
The beautiful blue sky.
Breathing slowly and deeply into your belly,
With every breath you feel more relaxed,
More peaceful,
And more connected to the quiet joy within you.
Now,
When you're ready,
Begin to gently stretch your arms and your legs as if you're waking from a deep,
Restful sleep,
With your mind's eye picturing yourself stepping out of the hammock,
Feeling refreshed and completely at peace.
You extend gratitude to the forest for letting you rest,
Providing a cocoon of safety and care.
Slowly you start to walk back through the forest,
Retracing your steps.
As you walk,
Notice how calm and relaxed you feel.
With each step,
You carry the sense of peace with you,
Knowing that you can return to this magical place whenever you need.
Now you find yourself at the edge of the forest.
Slowly begin to deepen your breath,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Gently reawakening your body.
Slowly fluttering the eyes open,
Bringing this sense of calm and relaxation with you into the present moment.
You are refreshed,
You are at peace,
And you are always welcome to return to this forest to connect to yourself,
To bring rest and care whenever you wish.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose,
Expanding the belly,
And on the exhale,
Let an audible sigh out the mouth and return to the waking world.
