“There are times when we recognize that the ideas and behaviors we had growing up are not as common as we believe them to be. This path encourages you to be open-minded about the circumstances of other people. By no means am I asking you to compromise your beliefs, but I am encouraging you to see another perspective so that you can grow to nurture relationships outside of your comfort zone?” - Beyond Free Journal, 2021

Welcome to your Beyond Free Mental Wrap Meditation,

Connecting Beyond Yourself.

This is an invitation to begin our journey,

Giving ourselves permission to just be.

And free in this moment to nurture our inner space and connect with ourselves and beyond ourselves.

On this path,

We'll begin by connecting with our breath.

I extend the invitation to place your awareness on your abdomen or around your nostrils.

Notice with loving kindness and affection.

Each and every inhale and exhale.

See if you can.

Be mindful of your breath for three consecutive breaths,

Helping to anchor yourself in the moment.

Now allow your awareness to notice where in your body where you may be holding on to things that no longer serve you.

Allow the breath,

Which is the spirit,

To shift the energy within your heart,

Mind and body.

Releasing whatever tension or tightness,

Any stress,

Anything that no longer serves you.

Invite peace and joy into this moment,

Opening up your heart and allowing your mind to focus on these reflective questions.

Quietly rolling them over and over in your mind or repeating them out loud to yourself.

When have I taken the time to actually see someone else's perspective?

When have I been intentional about seeing life from someone else's perspective?

What is something that I've recently learned that has changed my perspective?

What is something that I've learned recently that has changed my perspective?

As you give space to the answers,

They may arise out of the silence.

Allow yourself to see the power of another perspective as it is a catalyst to your growth and nurturing relationships outside of our comfort zone.

Take time to see people beyond their appearances and create narratives that connect and reconnect rather than distance you from them.

Be conscious of how you perceive others,

It might help to take a step back and know that our human stories leave a deep and lasting impact.

What are some of the comfortable spaces that you keep yourself in and why?

Speak your truth and listen deeply to the truth-telling of others.

Speak your truth and listen deeply to the truth-telling of others.

Make in all the lessons to be learned when you connect beyond yourself.

As we come to the close of this mental wrap meditation,

Remaining beyond free,

Take a deep breath in,

Taking the breath in all the way,

Holding it for three counts.

And slowly release the breath as you allow the connection of yourself to others to be fully in bloom,

Remaining beyond free and mentally wrapped well.
