Aware Of My Spiritual Nature - A Practical Prayer

We know the Hand of God is our hand. The Path of God is marked by our footsteps. The Love of God is present in us at every moment, in every action. Practical Prayer uses a formula proven effective in most of the world's religions. This prayer is spoken in the first person. As you listen, you're invited to accept the words for yourself, also in the first person. If you are able, get a mental picture of what it will be like when the intention spoken in the prayer is present in your life.

I speak this practical prayer for awareness of my spiritual nature in the first person, And I invite you to take it for yourself, Also in the first person. There is one power, Which I call God. This power creates everything. In the beginning, There was only God. God shared itself in creating the universe I now experience. Everything in the universe is part of this divine creative expression. It all came from the One. So there cannot be anything else other than the One. I too must be part of the creative expression of the One. I too am created by God. All that I am, All that I ever was, And all that I ever will be is God's creative intention taking form as me. Knowing this, I know that all I am and all I do takes place within the loving embrace of God. When I feel joyous, I am expressing God's infinite potential. When I feel longing or desire, I am a channel for God's urge to create something new. Through all of it, I am totally aware of my spiritual nature. I have no need for anguish or despair. These guiding signals appear as gentle contrasts, Allowing me to settle more comfortably into my awareness of God's love. The hand of God is my hand. The path of God is marked by my footsteps. The love of God is present in me at every moment, In every action. I am in deep gratitude for this awareness and relax easily into the spiritual strength of God. I speak this word, Aware that it carries the creative authority of God's own word, And I know that it is so. And so it is. Amen.
