Hello and a warm welcome to InsideTimer.
I'm Rahul Singh.
There are moments when the mind keeps reaching for an answer,
A certainty.
A way to make sure everything will be okay.
Perhaps there is something in your life right now that you cannot resolve.
Someone you cannot change.
An outcome you cannot guarantee.
A future you cannot see.
And yet the mind continues to work on it as though enough thinking might finally give you control.
But there are some things that thinking cannot settle.
So for these next few moments,
You do not need to solve anything.
You do not need to decide anything.
You do not need to know what happens next.
Simply notice your body.
Feel where you are supported.
The weight of your body being held.
Take a slow breath in.
And allow the exhale to leave without effort.
Again.
Breathing in.
And letting go.
Notice if you are holding tension somewhere.
The jaw.
The shoulders.
The chest.
The stomach.
You do not have to force it away.
Simply stop holding it quite so tightly.
Control often begins in the body before we even realize it.
We brace.
We tighten.
We prepare.
As though tension itself could protect us from uncertainty.
But right now,
There is nothing you need to hold together.
Bring to mind the situation that has been occupying you.
Not the entire story.
Just enough to recognize it.
And quietly acknowledge,
This matters to me.
That is why I have been holding it so tightly.
Now ask yourself.
What is actually mine to carry?
Perhaps there is something you can do.
A conversation.
A decision.
One small action.
If there is,
You can return to it when the time is right.
And then notice everything that is not yours to control.
Another person's choices.
Dead opinion of you.
What has already happened.
How quickly something changes.
Whether everything unfolds according to your plan.
The exact shape of tomorrow.
You can care deeply without controlling the outcome.
You can prepare without predicting everything.
You can act without knowing what your action will produce.
You can love without controlling another person.
And you can meet uncertainty without demanding that it disappear.
Imagine opening your hand.
Not abandoning what matters.
Simply loosening your grip.
You might silently say,
I will do what is mine to do.
And release what is not mine to control.
Again.
I will do what is mine to do.
And release the rest.
Notice what happens in the body when you stop asking yourself to manage the entire future.
Perhaps there is a little more space.
A little less effort.
A little less resistance.
Surrender does not mean giving up.
It means seeing clearly where your power ends.
And no longer exhausting yourself trying to control what begins beyond that point.
There is intelligence in knowing when to act.
And there is also intelligence in knowing when to release.
So breathe in gently and as you breathe out,
Let the shoulders soften.
Let the face soften.
Let the belly soften.
You do not need every answer tonight.
You do not need certainty before you can be at peace.
For now,
Do what you can.
Leave what you cannot.
And allow life to carry what was never yours to carry alone.
Stay here for one more breath.
Breathing in.
And slowly.
Letting go.
When you are ready,
Return to your day.
With a little less in your hands.
