Hello and a warm welcome to Inside Dyma.
I'm Rahul Singh.
The room may be quiet.
But the mind is still moving.
One thought becomes another.
A conversation.
A decision.
Something you forgot,
Something you need to remember tomorrow.
Something that might happen.
Something that probably will not.
And after a while,
You are no longer thinking about one thing.
The mind is simply in motion.
This is often what makes a racing mind so exhausting.
It is not only that thoughts are appearing,
It is that each thought becomes the beginning of another.
One question opens another.
One possibility creates five more.
One memory leads somewhere else.
The mind does not simply produce thoughts,
It keeps continuing them.
And somewhere underneath all of this,
There may be a belief.
If I keep thinking,
I will finally feel finished.
But you do not have to finish thinking before you can finish the day.
Some questions can remain unanswered.
Some conversations can remain incomplete.
Some decisions can wait.
Some thoughts can stop halfway through.
The mind may call this unfinished.
But unfinished does not mean unsafe.
And perhaps another part of you worries.
If I stop thinking about this,
I might forget.
Something important,
Something you need to do.
Something you must remember tomorrow.
But you do not have to keep something active in your mind just to prove that it matters.
What matters tomorrow can still matter tomorrow.
Tonight we are not trying to empty the mind.
We are not trying to produce perfect silence.
We are simply going to give thought less momentum.
Feel the weight of your head against the pillow.
Feel the shoulders,
The back.
The legs.
Let the bed carry some of what you have been carrying.
Take one easy breath in,
And allow the exhale to leave gently.
No effort.
Nothing to perfect.
Now when a thought appears,
Do not enter the story.
Simply notice what kind of thought it is.
Planning.
Remembering.
Worrying.
Rehearsing.
That is enough.
You do not need the details.
Notice.
Name.
Leave.
A thought appears.
Planning.
Leave it.
Another.
Remembering.
Leave it.
Another.
Worrying.
Leave it.
You are not pushing anything away.
You are simply not turning this thought into the next one.
The mind does not need to stop producing thoughts.
You only need to stop continuing every thought it reduces.
And if the same thought returns,
Let it return.
You do not have to make it stay away.
If it comes back ten times,
You can leave it ten times.
Nothing has gone wrong.
You are not responsible for preventing the next thought.
Only for not continuing the one that is here.
Notice.
Meme.
Leave.
And now we can make this even simpler.
You no longer need to name every thought.
A thought appears.
You recognize that thinking has begun.
And you leave it there.
No label,
No analysis.
No second sentence.
Just notice.
And leave.
A thought can knock.
You do not have to open the door.
You can hear it and remain where you are.
Feel the pillow beneath your head again.
Feel the weight of your hands.
Feel one breath entering.
One Breath Leaving.
When thought pulls you away,
Return here.
Not because the body is more important than the thought.
Simply because nothing needs to be solved here.
The mind has spent the whole day responding.
Choosing.
Remembering.
Planning.
Preparing.
It does not need another assignment now.
Let tonight remain incomplete.
Let tomorrow have tomorrow's problems.
Let unfinished things remain unfinished.
You do not need resolution before you can rest.
And now,
Even less effort.
No need to name,
No need to manage,
No need to check whether the mind is becoming quieter.
A thought comes,
Let it pass.
Another comes.
Let that pass too.
You do not need to follow.
You do not need to finish.
Back to the weight of the body.
Back to one easy breath.
And then nothing in particular.
If the mind begins again,
That is alright.
You do not need to begin again from the beginning.
Just stop continuing.
Feel.
Exhale.
Leave the thought unfinished.
There will always be something else to think about.
Something else to understand.
Something else to prepare for.
A human life is never completely finished at the end of the day.
But night does not ask you to finish your life.
It only asks you to put it down for a while.
Let the jaw soften.
Let the tongue rest.
Let the hands become heavy.
Let thought become less important.
No need to see where it leads.
No need to know what comes next.
Just this breath.
And then,
Perhaps another.
Tomorrow,
You can think again.
Tonight,
You can leave something unfinished.
This thought.
The next one.
Even the sentence in your mind does not need an ending.
Let it fade before it reaches the end.
Nothing more to follow.
Nothing more to continue.
For now,
Leave the next thought unfinished.
