Welcome to this Autumn Equinox guided meditation.
Where you will take a journey through the energies of the second harvest.
A time to reflect on all that you have received.
Embrace the changes taking place around you.
Release what you are ready to leave behind.
And make space for the new possibilities waiting to grow.
I'm your guide Rae Cowanam from Radiant Angel Energy.
So make yourself comfortable.
Knowing that this is your time to simply relax,
Let go and enjoy the journey.
As always.
Please make sure you are going to be somewhere you won't be disturbed.
Or mobile devices are switched off.
And you have the most perfect opportunity to sit or lie down.
Not doing anything.
Just taking the time to listen and follow this guided meditation.
Make yourself nice and comfortable.
Relax.
And close your eyes.
And as you do so,
Take a deep breath in.
And on the out-breath Just release everything that doesn't need to be in this space.
Take another deep breath in.
And on the out-breath Just release what doesn't need to be here.
And allow your breathing to fall into its natural rhythm.
Every in-breath relaxing you more and more.
And every out breath.
Just releasing what doesn't need to be here.
And as your breathing falls into its natural rhythm.
Just think about relaxing your body.
Think about relaxing your whole body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes all the way down your arms to your fingertips.
Or when you think about relaxing.
So you will relax.
Give yourself permission.
And allow yourself to relax.
And now just seefully imagine or know a beautiful golden light around you.
A beautiful golden light of peace and relaxation.
And just allow this beautiful golden light to move into your aura.
That energy space around you.
And then just allow that beautiful golden and relaxing energy to move into your physical body.
Filling your whole body with that beautiful golden relaxing light.
And you feel so wonderful and relaxed.
And now just take your awareness to the top of your head.
And see,
Feel,
Imagine or know the top of your head starting to relax.
Allow your head to start to relax.
And as you do just feel that relaxation moving down into your forehead,
Down into your temples.
Down into your eyes.
Down into your ears.
That relaxation moving down your nose.
Into your cheeks.
Your mouth.
Your jaw.
Just feeling so relaxed.
And allow this relaxation now to move down into your neck.
Relaxing all your neck muscles.
Moving all the way down into your shoulders.
Feel your shoulders start to relax.
It's as if they're being bathed in beautiful warm sunshine.
The warmth just massaging your shoulders It's so relaxing.
This relaxation now moves down your arms.
All the way down your arms to your hands and your fingers.
And just allow this relaxation to move into your upper body.
As you feel your chest muscles start to relax.
All your stomach muscles relax.
Whole of your back start to relax,
All your muscles relaxing.
As you feel your spine relax in.
Vertebrae by vertebrae by vertebrae.
As this relaxation moves down into your hips,
Your pelvis.
Your buttocks sinking you deeper down where you were sitting or lying.
And just allow this relaxation to move down your legs.
All the way down your legs to your feet and your toes.
And your whole body is just so relaxed.
I would like you now to engage your imagination.
And seefully imagine on her a beautiful staircase.
With 10 wide,
Safe,
Comfortable steps leading down to a beautiful door.
And in a moment,
You're going to walk down these steps from 10 to 1.
Each descending number relaxing you more and more.
So ready now.
Let's start walking down the stairs 10.
Going deeper down the stairs nine.
Deeper down the stairs eight.
Deeper down the stairs seven.
More and more relaxed.
Deeper down the stairs six.
Going deeper down the stairs five.
Deeper down the stairs for feeling so relaxed.
Deeper down the stairs three.
Deeper down the stairs too.
All the way down the stairs one.
And you take a step off that bottom step and stand in front of your door Now just open your door.
And as you do,
Step through the doorway.
And find yourself standing in the beautiful light of dawn.
The sun hasn't quite risen yet.
The sky has that beautiful dusky colour that comes just before sunrise.
When the world seems to be waiting.
For a new day to begin.
And as you look around,
You realise that you're standing in a field of beautiful golden wheat and barley.
The sheaves gently sway backwards and forwards in the breeze.
There's a cool freshness in the air.
And perhaps you can smell the morning dew.
Maybe you can hear the dawn chorus somewhere in the distance.
Perhaps the call of a crow or another bird welcoming the new day.
And everything feels so mysterious.
So atmospheric.
So peaceful.
Take a moment to really experience this place.
See it,
Feel it,
Imagine it or simply know that you're there.
Now.
Start to begin to walk slowly through this beautiful field.
Feeling completely safe and secure.
Completely relaxed.
Perhaps you can feel the weight gently brushing against your legs as you walk.
Moving and swaying in the slight breeze.
And as you continue walking.
You realize that this is the morning of the autumn equinox.
A point of balance in the air.
When day and night are approximately equal.
Light and darkness coming together in balance.
Before the wheel of the year turns once again.
And perhaps you can feel a sense of excitement.
Sense of anticipation.
Wondering what this day might bring.
And as you continue walking.
The sun begins to rise above the horizon.
Golden rays gradually spreading across the landscape.
Warming the air.
Illuminating the fields around you.
And in this growing light.
You notice that some of the wheat and barley has already been harvested.
Perhaps you can see boughs of straw dotted around the fields.
And standing amongst them is a scarecrow.
Just quietly watching over the harvest.
There's nothing frightening about this scarecrow.
You know that it has simply been doing its job.
Protecting the crops from the crows and other birds.
Who might otherwise have enjoyed the harvest for themselves.
And you continue lazily strolling through the field There's nowhere you need to be.
Nothing you need to do.
Simply enjoy being here.
Enjoy the warmth of the rising sun.
The cool breeze.
The golden crops moving around you.
And the feeling of the earth beneath your feet.
And as you walk,
You begin to notice that the field is leading you towards a beautiful apple orchard The trees are laden with apples.
Red apples,
Green apples.
Perhaps different varieties.
Growing throughout the orchard.
Branches bending gently beneath the abundance of fruit they are carrying.
And as you approach the orchard.
Allow yourself to really feel the abundance that surrounds you.
The weight.
The barley.
The apples.
The fruits of the earth.
This is the time of the second harvest.
A time together.
A time to appreciate.
And a time to be grateful for everything that has grown and everything that has been received.
You walk into the orchard.
And find yourself drawn to one particular apple tree.
The apples growing upon it.
Look absolutely delicious.
So you quietly ask the tree.
If it would allow you to take an apple or two.
And perhaps you feel its answer.
Perhaps you hear it.
Perhaps you simply know.
And as if giving you its permission.
The tree gently shakes its branches.
And two beautiful apples fall into your hand.
Take a moment to look at them.
Notice their colour.
Their shape.
How they fill in your hands.
And then take a bite from one of the apples.
Hear that crisp sound as you bite into it.
Taste its light sweetness.
Feel its juiciness.
There's something quite magical about eating an apple directly from the tree.
Knowing exactly where it has come from.
And knowing that the tree has freely given it to you.
You place the second apple into your pocket.
And continue wandering through the orchard.
Slowly eating the first.
And as you walk amongst these beautiful trees.
I'd like you to begin thinking about your own harvest.
Everything that has happened in your life so far this year.
And especially.
Everything that you have to be grateful for.
Don't immediately look for the big things.
Allow yourself to notice the small things too.
Maybe you're grateful for the rain that allowed the grass and plants to grow.
Perhaps you're grateful for the warmth of the sun.
Maybe you're grateful that you have somewhere to live.
Food to eat.
Money to pay a bill.
People in your life who care about you.
Perhaps you're grateful for your family,
Your friends.
Your pet.
A conversation.
An opportunity.
Something you've learned.
Something you've achieved.
Or simply for being alive and having another day to experience.
You may even be grateful for the spider.
That decided to make its home in the corner of your room.
Because gratitude doesn't always have to be about the big things.
Sometimes the tiniest things are the ones we overlook.
So I'm going to leave you for a moment.
Walking slowly through this beautiful orchard.
Eating your apple.
And thinking about your own harvest.
What are you grateful for?
What has this year given you?
What have you experienced?
What have you learnt?
What has grown?
And if you think you've thought of everything.
Dig a little deeper.
There is often so much within our lives to be grateful for that we simply don't notice.
So continue recognizing your own harvest.
Before long.
You reach the edge of the orchard.
And you notice the beautiful pond.
The water is calm and peaceful.
Perhaps there are swans gliding gracefully across its surface.
Are ducks moving through the water.
Maybe the birds are flying overhead or coming down to drink.
And perhaps you can see insects dancing above the surface of the pond.
Nearby is a comfortable patch of grass.
Seems almost as though it's waiting for you.
So walk over.
And sit down.
You notice that time has moved on.
The sun has travelled across the sky.
And it is now afternoon.
Perhaps you take the second apple from your pocket and enjoy it.
Or maybe you decide to keep it for later.
And as you sit beside the pond.
Simply look around you.
Perhaps you notice a squirrel moving through the trees.
Gathering knots.
Hiding them away.
Preparing for the winter months ahead.
The fields are being harvested.
Brutus being gathered.
Seeds and nuts are being stored.
Nature is preparing for the next season.
And as you watch everything happening around you.
You begin to realise something.
Nothing ever stays exactly the same.
Everything changes.
Everything moves through cycles.
The seasons change.
The trees change.
The landscape changes.
Nature grows.
Flowers.
Releases.
And then grows again.
Change is simply part of the cycle of life.
And perhaps the question isn't whether things will change.
But how we choose to move through those changes.
Do we embrace them?
Or do we fight against them?
Look at the nature surrounding you.
Nature doesn't fight the changing season.
The tree doesn't desperately try to hold on to every leaf.
The field doesn't refuse to be harvested.
Nature moves with the cycle.
It releases when it is time to release.
It rests when it is time to rest.
And it begins again when the time is right.
And somewhere within you.
Perhaps you instinctively know that you can do the same.
You can move with the changes taking place within your own life.
And you can grow through them.
So sitting here beside this beautiful pond.
I'd like you to think about your own life.
What is important to you now?
Not what used to be important.
Not what somebody else tells you should be important.
But what genuinely feels important to you now.
And with any changes that may be taking place in your life.
What are you ready to release?
What no longer needs to travel with you into the next part of your journey.
It could be a belief.
A habit,
A fear.
And expectation.
A situation.
And attachment.
Or simply an old way of seeing yourself.
Don't force an answer.
Allow whatever needs to come into your awareness to come.
And now think again about abundance.
What abundance has already been present in your life?
And what potential abundance could be waiting for you in the future.
If you were willing to plant the seeds for it now.
What might eventually grow.
I'll leave you here for a moment or two.
Sitting beside the water.
Contemplating.
Listening.
Allowing your own inner guidance to speak.
What is important to you?
What are you ready to release?
And what seeds would you like to plant for the future?
And as you sit beside the pond.
You gradually become aware that the light around you has begun to change somewhere.
Without you really noticing.
Afternoon has given way to dusk.
The sky is growing dark,
Huh?
The air cooler.
And then you become aware of another sensation.
A beautiful warmth.
Perhaps you can smell wood smoke in the air.
And hear the distant crackling of a fire.
You stand.
And just beyond the pond at the edge of the orchard.
You see a beautiful bonfire.
Its golden flames flicker and dance against the darkening sky.
So you begin to walk towards it.
And as you get closer you can feel its warmth against your skin.
You hear the crackle of wood.
See tiny sparks spiraling upwards.
And watch the flames moving and changing.
But then something else catches your attention.
Something in the sky.
You look upwards.
And suddenly you notice beautiful lights beginning to appear above you.
The Aurora Borealis.
Garlic.
Greens.
Purples Yellows.
Beautiful shades of blue.
Colors moving and dancing across the night sky.
Watch them.
See them ripple.
Flow and weave together.
Perhaps you can almost feel the charge in the atmosphere.
As these beautiful colours dance above you.
There's something magical about it.
Something powerful.
Something alive.
And you sense that change isn't only happening to the landscape around you.
Energetic changes are taking place too.
Changes within you.
Perhaps these changes are gently guiding you towards your next point.
Your next direction.
Your next possibility.
So sit down beside the fire.
Feel its warmth.
Watch the beautiful dance taking place above you.
And allow yourself to experience the all.
The wonder.
The magic of this moment.
Perhaps you can feel the energy in the air.
Charged with possibility.
And remember those seeds you were thinking about beside the pond.
The possibilities.
The things you'd like to bring into your life.
Perhaps they don't have to remain simply thoughts or dreams.
Perhaps they really can begin to come into being.
You don't need to know exactly how.
For now.
Simply allow yourself.
To know that they are possibilities.
And as you sit beside the fire.
You notice something on the other side of the flames.
It's the scarecrow you saw earlier in the field.
Made from straw.
Sacking.
And the remains of the harvest.
Its work for this season is complete.
It protected the crops while they grew.
And now it too can become part of the cycle.
You offer the scarecrow to the fire.
And as it enters the flames.
Think once again about everything you decided you were ready to release.
Everything you no longer needed to carry.
Imagine placing those things into the fire with a scarecrow.
Not with anger,
Not with regret.
Simply with the understanding that their time may now be complete.
Let the fire take them.
Watch as the flames suddenly leap higher,
Transforming everything that has been offered to them.
And know that you don't need to hold onto something simply because it was once part of your life.
You can thank it for whatever it taught you.
And allow it to change into something new.
So I'm going to leave you again sitting beside this beautiful fire for a moment or two.
Watching the aurora borealis dancing through the sky,
Feeling the warmth of the flames,
Allowing yourself to release.
And remaining open to whatever inspiration may come to you.
Who knows what thought,
Feeling,
Image,
Word or knowing may arise?
Just allow yourself to be here.
And eventually you become aware that time has moved on once again The fire has almost completely died down.
Only the gentle glow of the embers remains.
And as you look upwards.
You notice the beautiful Harvest Moon shining in the night sky.
Bathing the earth around you in its gentle light.
Everything feels still.
He's fooled.
Complete.
And beside you,
You notice a basket.
You pick it out.
And carefully begin gathering some of the cool ashes from the now extinguished fire.
The ashes of the wood.
The straw.
The Scarecrow.
And symbolically the ashes of everything you chose to release.
But these ashes are not waste.
They have changed.
What was once one thing has become transformed into something else.
And you know that these ashes can return to the earth.
They can become part of the soil.
Settling into the ground through the winter.
Nourishing the air.
Ready for whatever you make begin to grow when spring eventually returns.
And perhaps the same can be true for the things you have released.
The experiences you've had.
The challenges you've moved through.
The things you've learnt.
Nothing needs to have been wasted.
Even something you have outgrown can become wisdom.
It can become nourishment for whatever comes next.
So with your basket in your hands.
Begin walking back.
Back past the pond.
Into the orchard.
And issue war.
Gently scatter some of the ashes across the earth.
With each handful,
Think about the seeds you would like to plant within your own life.
The things you would like to grow.
Perhaps greater peace,
Love,
Abundance,
Confidence,
Creativity,
Connection.
Purpose.
Joy.
Or something completely personal to you.
There is no need to force anything to grow tonight.
You are simply preparing the soil.
Planting possibilities.
Giving your dreams somewhere to take root.
Continue through the orchard.
Scattering the ashes as you go.
Back through the golden fields under the light of the harvest moon.
And with each handful you scatter.
Know that you are fertilizing the soil and symbolically.
Fertilizing your dreams.
Allowing what has been released.
To become part of what may one day grow.
And before long,
You find yourself approaching your door once again.
The basket is now empty.
So place it gently beside the doorway.
And before you leave.
Take one last look back at this beautiful landscape.
The fields,
The orchard.
The pond.
The soft glow where the bonfire once burned.
The harvest moon above you.
And remember everything this journey has shown you.
The abundance already within your life.
Everything you have to be grateful for.
The changes you are ready to embrace.
What you have chosen to release and the possibilities you are now willing to plant.
You don't have to know exactly what will happen next.
Just as the earth doesn't need to know exactly how every seed will grow.
There is a time for planting.
A time for growing.
Time for harvesting.
A time for releasing.
And a time for resting.
Trust the season you are in.
And know that when the time is right,
Something new can grow.
And now if you close your door earlier,
Reach out and open it.
Step through.
And if you wish gently close the door behind you or leave it open knowing that you can return to this beautiful place whenever you need to reconnect with gratitude,
Embrace change,
Release the old or remember the possibilities still waiting to grow.
And bring back with you that beautiful energy of gratitude.
Balance.
Possibility.
And anticipation for whatever may come next.
And in a moment you are going to walk back up the stairs.
Each ascending number bringing you back to the present,
To the here and now.
So let's start walking up the stairs one.
Coming further up the stairs too.
Further up the stairs three.
Further up the stairs 4 remembering your whole journey.
Further up the stairs 5.
Further up the stairs 6.
Further up the stairs seven knowing you're going to have a wonderful night's sleep.
Or a wonderful rest of the day.
Further up the stairs 8.
Coming all the way back up the stairs nine.
10.
Step back into the here and now.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Stretch.
Move your body.
Make sure you are fully back,
Fully present.
Open your eyes.
And if you've got some water with you.
Make sure you have a drink now.
And welcome back.
