Mel Cassidy (they/them) is somatic relationship coach who works with queer and questioning people — and those who love them — who are exploring and practising honest, open relationships. Mel brings together their experience as a second generation bodyworker with their training in somatic movement and experiencing to guide people in transformational, embodied experiences. Mel has been teaching and coaching for over twenty-five years, and has presented around the world, including being a return speaker with the Trauma Super Conference. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+Community and co-founder of the Solo Polyamory facebook group, Mel has been a dedicated advocate for consensual non-monogamy for over a decade. Creator of The Monogamy Detox course, they are committed to creating somatically-integrated and trauma-sensitive spaces where all can flourish. Their first book, Radical Relating, will be published by North Atlantic Books in late 2025. They are of mixed Irish, Greek, and Khorokhane Romani descent and a long term visitor on the traditional territories of the K'omoks Nation.
