This is Rachel Boucher.
We'll begin with a short meditation to help you get grounded before moving into some journal writing.
You'll have one main prompt,
Along with a few follow-up questions to help you tap into your vision for our future.
And then you have five minutes to write.
Close your eyes or have a soft gaze and let your body feel how it's connected to the earth.
All of you is welcome here.
You have permission to feel fully and to notice the sensations in your body.
Notice your breathing and let it flow naturally.
Imagine yourself in a wide open field on a sunny day with an ancient forest off to the left.
There's a path that leads deeply into the wisdom of the woods.
Follow this trail until you find the future,
Our future.
You are a combination of ancient and future wisdom.
Be awareness itself and use all of your senses to inhabit this future world.
Spend some time walking around and noticing what the world looks and sounds like.
How does it feel?
What do you feel?
What do you see?
What do you hear?
When you are ready,
Return down the path and find yourself back in the wide open field,
Ready to open your eyes and write.
Here's your prompt.
Write a letter to future generations,
Describing the world you're helping to create.
What do you want them to know,
Feel and experience?
How do people and other beings live in connection with one another?
