Today's Considerations are short observations about who God is and who we are in God. These observations are meant to weaken, hopefully, our conscious (and unconscious) habits that separate us from God and bring to awareness our characteristics that keep us in alignment with God.

Today's Consideration.

We are taught through the world that the only way to have something is to compete for it and get to it first,

To hoard everything to ourselves and give nothing away.

Our Creator teaches us that the more we give,

The more we receive,

The more we extend our selves to others,

Which thins out our resources,

The more we have in abundance.

Why?

The difference is in the characteristics we cultivate with our actions.

The person who hoards and withholds from his fellow human entrenches into himself or herself characteristics of anxiety,

Insecurity,

And mistrustfulness.

The person who gives exudes confidence and security in the Lord,

Trusting that the Lord will consistently replenish.

And with this positive behavior,

We become a shining light to the world.

We must understand that everything we send out from ourselves,

We get back.

And if we send nothing out,

We get nothing back.

So it is to our benefit to align with God.

Thank you.

Thank you! Reminds me of Abbey Lincoln's song, "Throw It Away": "...so keep your hand wide open / if you're needing anything." ❤
