Welcome to this full moon and Sagittarius guided meditation,
Also known as the blue moon.
Find yourself a comfortable position lying down or seated.
Whichever one makes you feel the most held.
And when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in.
And on the exhale,
Let your shoulders fall.
And again,
Breathing in,
Filling yourself up completely.
And softening as you exhale it out.
One more time,
A nice,
Big,
Deep inhale,
Filling up your chest and your tummy.
And sigh it all out,
Letting it go.
At the top of your head,
Notice what's there.
Any tension,
Buzzing,
Mental chatter.
Picture it all as static on a radio.
And very,
Very gently begin to turn the dial.
Softening the static,
Slowly turning it into nothing.
A soft silver light gathers at the crown of your head.
And it feels a little bit cool,
With an ancient and wise energy to it.
It begins to pour down over your face like moonlight falling through a window.
Slowly releasing your forehead.
Relaxing your eyes.
Releasing your jaw and your cheeks.
Melting under that cool silver light.
Moving down your throat and your neck,
Dropping your shoulders even more.
Feeling a sense that you've just put down something very heavy.
Feeling that release of finally letting it go.
Making its way down through your chest.
Your heart space,
Which has been working so hard.
Give it permission to simply be for a few moments.
And let the silver light continue down through your belly and your spine.
Your lower back.
Dissolving any tension.
Moving through your hips,
Where we store so much.
It's where we hold our grief,
Our old decisions and things that happened to us years ago.
That our body doesn't quite let go of.
Let the silver light move through,
Slowly washing it all away.
Through your thighs,
Your knees and your calves.
All the way down your feet to your toes.
Washing away anything that no longer serves you.
Your body now is completely still.
Relaxed and clear.
And with every breath you take,
Go a little bit deeper.
You are completely safe,
Completely held and completely seen.
Begin to imagine that you are standing on top of a high,
High hill.
The land rolls away from you in every direction.
You cannot believe the vastness and openness of what you're seeing.
All the way to the very edges of the world.
The grass is glowing with a silver sheen in the moonlight.
The air feels warm,
But it has that wild edge to it.
The kind of air that smells like somewhere far away.
And in the sky you see a huge,
Enormous,
Blue full moon.
Which means that she has come twice in this lunar cycle.
She has insisted on being seen and being felt.
The moon fills the sky more than what seems possible.
And her light is not soft tonight.
It's clear and it's illuminating the truth.
Nothing can hide in her light tonight.
This is Jupiter's moon,
The planet of expansion,
Philosophy,
And of making you ask yourself,
Why do I believe what I believe?
And she has pulled something to the surface in you.
Maybe you already feel it.
It could be a belief,
A story,
A conviction about something and what's possible for you.
Rising up from deep within you,
Whatever was buried,
Ready to be seen in her light.
Don't push it down.
Let it come forward.
This blue moon in Sagittarius rules our belief systems.
About the world,
About our life,
And about ourselves.
Beliefs about what we're allowed to have.
About whether we get to live a life of expansion,
Of adventure,
Or of genuine meaning.
And some of these beliefs were given to us before we had any choice in the matter.
Coming from our families,
Our experiences,
Maybe wounds from experiences that we've had that have taught us to see ourselves as smaller,
Not worthy.
And tonight we're giving them all back.
Take a couple steps forward into this hilltop,
And see before you there's a small fire pit with flames glowing of amber and gold.
Beside the fire,
You see some writing utensils.
This could be a small pile of paper and a pen,
Some dry leaves or bark,
Whatever feels right.
Kneel before the fire,
Picking up whatever writing utensil and paper source you see.
And I want you to write down one belief that came forward.
The one that is the loudest when you're right on the edge of something bigger.
Maybe it says,
Who do you think you are?
It's not safe to want more than this.
You'll only be disappointed.
Maybe it's a belief about money,
Or about your body or inherent worthiness.
Whatever it is,
Let it come forward and don't judge or feel shame towards it.
This belief at one point was a protection mechanism for yourself.
Hold the belief that you wrote out in front of you and read it one final time.
Acknowledge it,
And then say quietly,
Thank you.
You tried to protect me,
But I don't need this anymore.
And lean forward,
Placing it into the fire.
Watch the edges curl and transform into something new.
Because energy never truly disappears,
It shifts.
What was once a cage of protection is becoming your guiding light forward.
Let the smoke carry it up toward that enormous blue moon,
Releasing it.
If you have more than one belief to release tonight,
Take some time and do that now.
When you feel complete in this,
And the fire has taken whatever you need,
Place both hands on your knees or on the earth beside you,
And take one full breath into the new spaciousness that you can feel inside you.
Look up to the moon and ask it,
What do I know is true about where I'm going?
And hold on to whatever comes up.
Slowly you begin to see the world around you fading away,
Returning back to the present moment,
Hearing the sounds in the room around you,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Stretching if that feels good,
Taking one final big deep breath in through your nose,
And sighing it all out,
Letting it all go.
The full moon in Sagittarius is a rare blue moon,
And it asked something courageous of us tonight,
To tell the truth about what we've been carrying and about what no longer serves us.
I hope that you feel lighter tonight,
And you're able to move through the rest of this moon cycle with a sense of ease.
I'll see you next time.
