Consolation (20 Minutes)
A musical atmosphere for experiencing the soft, consoling darkness of meditation and the serenity of being. “Some find comfort in the darkness.” — Matsuo Bashō “I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hidden riches of secret places.” — Isaiah 45:3 This serene, spacious piece invites you to rest in the comforting stillness of contemplative darkness—not as something to be feared, but as a place of deep consolation. When we close our eyes in meditation, darkness is not absence; it is a quiet presence, a refuge where we can be soothed, accepted, and gently remembered back into ourselves. Consolation is composed in C major and offered in two lengths—10 minutes and 20 minutes—ideal for sitting, prayer, or restful presence. It opens a space where being and awareness are no longer separate—where the dhyana of simple presence becomes a kind of home. Here, in the darkness, nothing needs to be explained. Nothing needs to be done. Only this: rest, breathe, receive.
