Welcome to today's guided sleep meditation.

Before we begin,

Allow your body to guide you into your favorite and most comfortable sleeping position.

When you're ready,

Gently close your eyes and join me on a deeply relaxing journey in words.

Slowly,

Patiently,

Bring your awareness to your breath as you breathe in and out.

Your breath is your most precious anchor,

One you can return to over and over and over and over.

When your mind wanders to unnecessary thoughts,

Bring your attention back to your breath and enjoy the sensation of breathing in and breathing out.

Now slowly bring your attention to your body as you breathe in and out.

Feel yourself melting into your body,

Melting into the surface that is supporting you,

Melting into this moment,

Melting into deep relaxation.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Calmness washes over you with every breath,

Allowing every single muscle in your body to release and relax.

Every single muscle in your body is ready to rest and enjoy a good night's sleep.

Feel your body letting go as you continue to melt into the surface that is supporting you.

Feel your body becoming heavier and heavier as every cell in your being releases and sinks deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Continue to allow your entire body to surrender into sleep as you release any control you may still be holding onto.

Observe your forehead softening.

As your jaw and tongue relax,

Relax,

Relax.

Feel your shoulders release into sleep as they sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Feel your hips melting into the surface beneath you,

Trusting gravity to assist you in releasing the tension of the day.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

And good night.
