Hello and welcome.
I am so happy you are here.
Today we are going to do a meditation practice of finding stillness.
I know,
I know,
Sitting in stillness can be so hard.
And I also know you can do it.
You are here.
You are willing.
And so I invite you to stay.
Let us sit in stillness together.
And remember this is a practice.
And so be kind.
Be kind to yourself as we sit in stillness.
And so I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Whether that's sitting in a chair or laying on the ground.
Just be comfortable.
Feel the support of the chair beneath you,
Of the ground beneath you.
And allow yourself to start,
To settle,
To start,
To soften.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your shoulders.
Soften.
Settle.
Lay down whatever burden you're carrying today.
Just lay it down.
Feel the weight lifted as you lay it down.
Feel the freedom,
The lightness.
Soften.
Settle.
And breathe.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Just breathe.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You know if your mind has wandered,
It's okay.
Be kind.
Just notice that it has wandered and gently,
Gently return your attention to your breath.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Just breathe.
Soften.
Settle.
Allow the peace.
Allow the calm.
Allow the stillness.
I invite you to place your hands over your heart.
Feel the beating of your heart.
Feel the warmth of your heart.
Let the love wash over you.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
And as we come to the end of our meditation practice,
I invite you to give thanks.
To give thanks for this time you have given yourself.
This gift of stillness,
Of nourishment for your body,
For your soul.
When you are ready,
You may open your eyes,
Orient yourself to the physical space around you and just notice how you feel.
Notice the calm,
The peace,
The softness.
Thank you for being here my friends.
I am so grateful to have spent this time with you.
I invite you to come back to stillness whenever you want.
It is always available to you.
The stillness,
Your breath,
The peace and calm.
May you carry those feelings with you as you go out into your day today and may you have a beautiful day.
