Focusing on the tone behind my voice.
This is a short meditation and visualization around being open to possibility,
Changing the story within our minds.
And starting to cue your breath,
Notice the air coming in through your nose,
Leaving through your mouth or nose,
Whatever feels good for you.
Again,
Slightly deeper breath in through the nose,
Leaving the body through the mouth or nose.
Beautiful work with some body parts to just slow our minds down a little bit,
Softening your eyelids and softening the cheeks,
Allowing your face to feel like it's melting.
And coming back to the breath,
Taking a deep breath in,
Let it go,
Beautiful.
Just focus all your attention on your shoulders,
Allow your shoulders to drop,
Beautiful.
Just noticing how you feel after two minutes of just slowing down,
Taking a deep breath.
We now turn to this word or topic for the day around possibility.
Possibility.
What limits myself from being open to new possibility?
When we look at the root meaning of the word possible,
It comes from Latin,
Passe,
To be able or to have power.
The meaning is to be able and to have power.
Just breathe that in.
When we are open to new possibilities,
We are open to being more able and to have more power.
Breathe.
Where in your life right now would you like to have more possibility?
In which part of your life,
Just have it come to mind,
Start to visualize this area where there are limits.
It could be related to your work,
It could be related to a relationship that you want to improve.
It could be related to your relationship to self,
Self-talk.
Pick an area right now where you feel limited in your possibility.
And I want you to start to notice yourself in a room that's got four walls,
And the walls are your limits.
This room is a place where you have been sitting,
Unable to see what is possible for you beyond these walls.
Start to visualize yourself in this room and breathe.
And I want you to start to think about what is the story that keeps you within this room limited from infinite possibilities?
What is the story?
Why do you choose to stay here?
Breathe.
And start to think about the fear behind the story.
What do you think might happen?
I'll give you some examples.
Do you fear rejection?
Safety?
Being ridiculed?
Failing?
My favorite,
Not being perfect.
What story for you in fear is attached to you staying within the walls that are your limits?
The story that limits us,
And there can be many,
Is what makes us human.
Let's start there.
We have limits to understand what it means to be human.
However,
We also have the ability to change our stories,
Which brings us the joy of being human.
Breathe that in.
When I can change the story,
I learn what it means to be human as well.
Breathe.
I want you to imagine that a magical door appears in this room of limits,
A way out.
And as you do that,
Start to see this door within the walls that you have created.
And as you see the door,
It's asking you to create the new story to step through that door.
Remember,
What must you start to believe about yourself?
What must the new story be to create the new possibility?
Yes,
Breathe.
What if you will be safe when you take that step through the door?
What if it doesn't matter what others think?
What if you're able to forgive yourself for your past?
The process requires compassion to deal with the old story.
Breathe that in.
Compassion.
A loving of self.
It's easy to imagine way into the future that we can just be successful,
But the real challenge is working with the stories we have in our minds today.
And that's exactly what you're doing right now.
Breathe that in.
When I'm aware of the story I carry,
I can change it.
When I'm aware of the story,
I can change it.
Breathe it in.
So here's the real question.
What must you do to take hold of that door and walk through it?
What is the new story you must form today?
I won't fail.
Mistakes are part of the learning.
I can try my best to connect with others,
And that's all I can control.
I can forgive the past.
Where I am going only matters.
Breathe that in.
This is about belief.
Belief that you can change the story and take back the power.
Breathe.
And as we head into a tiny sound bath,
This is just time for you to acknowledge how far you've come and will go.
As the tones dissipate on the other side,
Come back into your room and feel the change that is happening already in the mind.
