This video will guide you through simple steps on how to meditate as a couple.
Find a safe and comfortable space where you and your partner will be undisturbed for the next 15 minutes.
It is important to create an inviting and calm space where you feel safe and at peace.
A great way to set up your space is by lighting candles or burning incense.
Essential oils are another great way to calm the mind and set the mood.
Once you have created a sacred space,
Find a comfortable seated position either on the floor or on a chair.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Relaxing your shoulders and face as you exhale.
Place your hands on your knees and take another deep breath in and feel the breath as it slowly fills your lungs.
Exhale slowly,
Letting go of any unwanted heavy energy.
Take another deep breath in,
Inhaling love and exhaling fear,
Anxiety and worry.
Notice how you are feeling.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
As we now enter a relaxing,
Loving vibration,
Highlight in your mind all the wonderful qualities you love about your partner.
The qualities I love about my partner are her nurturing spirit,
Her beautiful smile,
Her loving heart.
The qualities I love about my partner are his creative energy,
His loving and understanding heart,
His strong spirit.
Embrace this beautiful moment and continue to reflect on the positive energy and love that you are feeling.
This is the perfect time to focus on the strong points that make your relationship so special.
Maybe it's your strong bond and appreciation for one another or the balance you both bring to the relationship.
Relationships are not always perfect and that is okay.
We learn to become better as we help one another grow.
Growing requires looking outside of the relationship and looking within ourselves at the areas that need to be brought to light and worked on.
So how can you help this relationship grow to the next level?
What are the areas you need to work on?
Maybe being more patient and less reactive or being a better listener.
For the next few moments,
Visualize yourself becoming stronger in the areas you wish to improve.
Now that you've had time to reflect on those areas that you would like to improve,
Visualize yourself applying those positive qualities in your relationship.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Take another deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Gently start coming back into your environment and slowly open your eyes.
Stretch your legs and wiggle your toes.
Stretch your arms and wiggle your fingertips.
Feel as the weight has been lifted off your shoulders and spirit.
