Welcome to the Yahweh prayer.

This breath prayer is following the cadence of your breath in and out.

300 BC the children of Israel experienced God's mighty hand leading them out of Egypt.

When Moses asked God,

Who shall I tell your people has called them out of slavery and into the promised land?

God responds with,

I am.

In the Hebrew it's Yahweh.

Today I will lead you in two minutes of breathing in and breathing out.

Following the first two minutes you will have the opportunity to follow the cadence of your breath in the Yahweh breath prayer.

Let's begin with three deep breaths.

Thank you for this. If you have any more similar content or recommendations on any type of meditation, breathwork or chant regarding YAHWEH, YOD HE VAV HE, even if it taps into the mystical/monk practices of soaking in HIM...I'd love to know!

I enjoyed a breath meditation based in my faith background. Minimal talking and just enough background ambiance to let you know when it was over.

I work with the Jesus Prayer on a regular basis. I've loved how there are multiple ways to incorporate breath work into spoken prayer meditation. This is a wonderful expansion of my recent exploration in this area. Thank you!

Thank you. This was very relaxing. However, the ending was rather abrupt. I would have liked it to be softer.

The Yahway prayer is a good way to center any time distractions come. I also like to pray this breath prayer when I do alternate nostril breathing. I find it most helpful before a sit of centering prayer to come fully into Presence. Thank you.
