Lectio Divina – Spiritual Reading Colossians 3:3

A non fact-finding practice. A reception to what the text has to teach you. A slow dance between Scripture, God & Silence.

The meditation begins with a brief explanation of the practice.

1. Reading slowly.

3. Prayer- What is my action or response?

Welcome and thank you for joining me for this Lectio Divina,

A practice of spiritual reading.

There are four sections including reading,

Meditation,

Prayer,

And contemplation.

There will be a prompt for each of these movements.

At the end of our time together,

There will be the sounding of a bell,

Which will signify the conclusion of our Lectio Divina practice.

Today I've selected Colossians 3.

3,

For you have died,

And your life is hidden with Christ and God.

I have personalized this verse to say,

I have died,

And my life is hidden with Christ and God.

I invite you for the next 20 minutes to remove any distractions,

And come to a quiet and a centered place,

Where you can listen with your heart and your mind to what the Spirit would speak to you through this very short passage of Scripture.
