This is a meditation on coolness.
As I sit quietly,
I breathe in and out.
Watching my breath as it fills my lungs,
Expands my chest,
And then releasing.
My chest falls,
And old energy leaves my body.
In and out,
Rising and falling.
I draw oxygen into my body.
Cool,
Clean oxygen.
I am aware as it enters through my nose,
And the cooling sensation travels around my body.
Feeling cools and sustains the functioning of my body,
Necessary for life.
Gently supplying what is needed.
I take a moment now just to consider my decision to sit here for this time of meditation,
And what it represents as a choice I am making to become cool.
The world around me is heating up.
The climate is changing.
Political tensions increase.
All of these things can spark within me a fire,
A heat,
A burning sensation.
Be it fear,
Irritation,
Frustration,
Anger,
Or hopelessness.
These energies burn the coolness of the soul,
And they make me heat up inside.
As I heat up in response to these energies,
I lose my connection to peace.
And yet,
I have made a choice to sit here today to become cool.
I imagine myself under a faucet of cool,
Spiritual energy,
Washing over my face and my body,
Entering the soul.
This faucet of cool,
Clean energy is cooling me and restoring me to my natural state,
Calm,
Clean,
Content,
And cool.
I remember who I am.
I am a being of peace.
My nature is cool.
A moment of silence draws me inward.
Deep inside,
I discover a reservoir of peace.
A wellspring of cool,
Inner energy exists within me.
Beneath the fire,
Beneath the static and noise,
Is a wellspring of cool peace inside of me.
I draw deeper and deeper into this reservoir until I experience myself floating in the calming coolness of an ocean of peace.
I am gently caressed by the rippling water.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
I float in the ocean of peace.
I allow myself to absorb this energy of peace,
And I become cool.
This is me,
My natural state.
At my core,
I am peaceful and cool.
Let me enjoy this time spent floating in the coolness of peace.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
I am lulled by the waves washing against the shore.
