Hello friends Sarah here from the Connecticut cocoon co-creator of hello from the cocoon with my dear friend of many years Laurie and today I am tapping into some feels about rest and patience.

I don't know if you've been feeling this but there is this like force that I tend to do of like force through things push through things especially here right now in Connecticut we have spring blooming and blossoming and everything is unfurling and growing and I just feel like resting and not pushing forward and not planning so many things or putting a lot on my to-do list and having the patience kind of almost the patience to sit back and rest and trusting that that's what I need right now so if you're feeling the same way too I would love to have you explore and give patience we'll give patience I'm gonna do patience or rest I guess you can decide patience and rest together or just rest or just patience I'll go with patience because for me patience already has the feel of stepping back and resting and today's vocal play is inspired by Great Blue Heron.

Great Blue Heron has been coming in so at first I wasn't sure because I do see Great Blue Heron a lot but we have a marsh nearby and my morning walk started with a visit from Great Blue Heron and I was like oh that's so sweet and then anytime I see a nature message that's a little bit different than my typical nature creatures like squirrels and chipmunks and birds I wonder oh is there something that this animal or thing in nature is trying to tell me or send a message so I wasn't I wasn't certain but but then at lunchtime in a totally different place I went for a walk and another Great Blue Heron flew over me and squawked so I said okay that's my sign so Great Blue Heron is all about being patient and self-reliant if you don't know this animal they just wait for the perfect time to catch their fish they have long thin legs so not needing this big boldness but just small little pillars to stand on for this big body and they are also all about humility so patience from Great Blue Heron to progress and to evolve and to kind of catch the thing that gives us life and gives us fuel for this world so thank you Great Blue Heron and we will vocal play what patient sounds like I invite you to either receive my vocal play or if you would like you can create your own unique sound for what patient sounds like to you or you can copy my vocal play if you want to play around with your voice we add body movements to it as well to explore and release energy for this theme of patience and so sit back enjoy and we'll see what comes out and so I'll know it has landed I get a little buzz a little tingly in my eyes but you'll have most likely a different body sensation it could be a sweet smile it could be a chill a yawn getting teary-eyed this work is about tapping into your body and your intuition to feel into the present moment and feel aha this is the sound for and today our sound is for patience so here we go I'm already I'm already feeling this body movement so we'll just do this well that was a very interesting vocal play I kind of feel like the whole process was the vocal play how I started very fast and swishy and then the slow it almost was like time was slowing down we were zooming into this micro moment and really expanding it and slowing it and giving it breath and giving it air so a lot of the times your vocal play will send you messages back receive them listen to them they're always beautiful and they help us create this connection with whatever we are giving a sound to so today was patience I hope this brings patience into your life and you feel more connected to patience and stepping back breathing and allowing things to just be and rest rather than that forcing or that to-do list that's always buzzing behind the scenes and just coming back to us and that lean that lean back I just keep feeling that lean back I think I started a little forward and as I did my vocal play just leaning back so I invite you to create your own vocal play and if you have any insights or comments about this little mini series please feel free to comment below I'd love to hear your thoughts and responses with care and connection from my cocoon to yours bye
