Discovering Your Ikigai
In this first lesson, we delve into the essence of Ikigai- the concept that lies at the heart of this transformative journey. This lesson is designed to help you and cover your own ikigai and set the foundation for a purposeful and fulfilling life. We begin by exploring the origins and meaning of Ikigai understanding how it has shaped the lives of people in Japan for centuries. through a thought provoking exercise and self reflection you will embark on a personal exploration of your passions talents values and the things that bring you joy and fulfilment. This lesson will guide you through a step-by-step process to identify and clarify your unique purpose and mission in life and by the end of the lesson you have a clear understanding of your Ikigai-the intersection of what you love, what are you are good at ,what the world needs and what you can be rewarded for.

Wabi Sabi
Today, we delve deeper into the practices and wisdom of Japanese culture including the profound concept of Wabi Sabi, to enhance our pursuit of a purposeful and fulfilling life. We begin by immersing ourselves in the concept of mindfulness a cornerstone of Japanese practices and integrating the philosophy of Wabi Sabi. We also delve into the practice of gratitude drawing inspiration from Japanese customs and the spirit of Wabi Sabi. We explore how the acceptance of imperfections and the recognition of the blessings in each moment can deepen our sense of gratitude and contentment. We also explore the significance of connection and community in Japanese culture in alignment with the principles of Wabi Sabi and we delve into the art of fostering meaningful relationships.

Shinrin Yoku
In this lesson, we dive into the enchanting practice of Shinrin Yoku also known as forest bathing. This lesson is dedicated to exploring the profound connection between nature and our well-being and the transformative impact it can have on our pursuit of Ikigai. Through an immersive exercise and guided practice outdoors we learn how to cultivate a deep connection with nature engaging all our senses and allowing the healing energy of the natural world to envelop us. Prepare to be outdoors for this lesson:f But, for the purpose of the course any outdoor setting would be okay, and through the guided visualisation we can achieve this.

Today, we dive into the enchanting world of Chado, the Japanese Tea Ceremony. This lesson is dedicated to exploring the profound artistry and mindfulness inherent in the ritual of preparing and sharing tea. We begin by delving into the rich history and philosophy of Chado, which embodies principles of harmony, respect, purity, and Tranquility. You will discover the significance of each step in the tea ceremony from the preparation to the graceful gestures and movements performed with intention and mindfulness. By the end of this lesson, you have gained a nice understanding of Chado and the art of the tea ceremony. You will have learned the significance of mindfulness and presence in daily rituals in how to incorporate elements of Tranquility and intention into your own tea-drinking practices so prepare to embark on a journey of grace mindfulness and profound appreciation in this time this tradition of Chado. Here I outline the steps for a mindful tea ritual. If you have your tea ready, you are welcome to engage in the practice with me today.

Today, we engage in a guided step-by-step meditation focusing on the breath and entering a state of deep meditative awareness.

In the last lesson, we delve into the concept of the Shokunin Spirit, a mindset that embraces craftsmanship, passion, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence in one's work and hobbies. This day is dedicated to exploring the profound impact of embodying the Shokunin spirit in our lives fostering a sense of purpose fulfillment and continuous growth.
