In these moments of clarity where you find yourself in control, it helps to direct your awareness back to the anchor of the mantra.

You have an anchor for your awareness and the more effortlessly you think it, the less you try, the deeper you will dive. Ultimately you have learned that the meditation experience you get is the one you need and not to worry what happens.
