Curious Consideration
Matthew 6:28 - “Consider the lilies of the field.”
To consider is to contemplate or ponder. Jesus encouraged consideration and in Sophrology we suggest using curiosity to do this. To look as if it is the first time like an infant examining her hand.
This lesson is a brief introduction into the tools and techniques we’ll use for this course and an opportunity to set your purpose for going on this journey of discovery. In a state of meditation you’ll interact with Jesus and listen for any message that might help you set intention. Find your destination towards authentic love through curious consideration.

My Body Is A Divine Creation
Romans 12:1-2 - “I beseech you… by the mercies of God, that ye present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God… Be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Your body is a Divine creation. You may recall the creation of the world as described in the first few chapters of Genesis. Remember that the earth was formed, then water covered the face of the ground. It was the dust of this ground which was used to form our bodies and then the breath of life was breathed into our nostrils.
Breath sustains us. Scientifically it is an exchange of gases. Spiritually our breath is Divine. Every breath you take speaks to your soul as a message from God. What is the message you need to hear? Discover it by contemplating on the cellular structure of your Divine creation.
In this session you’ll open up to Divine connection and identify core values which can guide you to make authentic decisions.

Finding Peace In Gratitude
Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Gratitude is the greatest virtue. Paul encouraged the Philippians to overcome anxiety with prayers of gratitude and wrote that this would bring you closer to the peace of our Saviour. This lesson encourages you to find warmth and comfort in the small and simple tasks.
Les 4
Freedom To Forgive
Luke 23:34 - “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
There’s two important messages in this very short passage of scripture.
First, the example of forgiveness and second recognising that the people had no real context for who He was and they didn’t understand His purpose. They were caught up in the emotional energy and mostly just following the crowd.
In depth of pain and humiliation Jesus did not ignore His suffering, but rather chose to forgive the lack of knowledge. Through quiet observance Jesus was able to flow through his suffering and forgive at the same time.
Forgiveness is actually more about you than it is about others. Freedom to forgive opens the heart to abundance of joy, peace, and progressive motion. This session encourages you to contemplate from a space of compassion and move into a neutral space of love.
Les 5
Courage To Create
Matthew 14: 31 - "And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"
It was an invitation from Jesus that gave Simon Peter the courage to walk on water. And it was fear that caused him to begin to sink.
This session is an opportunity to create courage and build on the strength of your ancestors. In meditation you’ll have an opportunity to identify the energy of their strength, courage, and confidence in your DNA. Engage with their creative life force energy in the bones and sinews of your muscles and identify faithful ways to create courage.

Water Transforms Everything
John 4: 14 - “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
These are the days when we can turn on a tap and quickly fill a glass or pitcher with fresh clear water. But in bible times, when this scripture was written, the act of engaging with refreshing clear water came with great physical endurance and sacrifice. People walked long distances with various types of containers and drew water from a well.
Fully understood and embraced, the water that Jesus offers can transform our lives.
In this lesson we contemplate water and come to recognise its ability to change and transform our very existence. We discover the well of living water within and discover how it connects us to all that is living.
Les 7
Powerful Patience
Hebrews 12:1-2 - “Let us lay aside every weight…let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus who endured the cross and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
In this session we accept the invitation to “lay aside every weight” and observe life with patience. This virtue cannot be developed. Instead it is learning to move from impatience to patience. It is a gradual process and yes, it does take practice.
I invite you to use this session often and notice the ability to manage life in a more gentle way.
Les 8
Cheerful Generosity
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 - “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
There’s so much to interpret from these verses. We’ll break them down, get more understanding, and then meditate on the physical sensation of cheerful generosity.
Recognise how you sense abundance, streamline generosity into your life, and fill your days with the grace of God. When you switch your mind and become the “cheerful giver” you see the Divine grace of God all around you. This becomes your mainstay and life feels more abundant.

Be The Light
John the Baptist described Jesus as the “true light” which lights every person in the world (John 1:9). We know that light to be Jesus because He declared, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). Jesus, referring to us as His disciples said, “Ye are the light of the world…let your light shine” so that everyone can see the goodness and glory” (Matthew 5:14).
Light is a state of radiation. At all times you are radiating some form of this energy. Either it is a bright and brilliant light of beauty or it is a dim light of despair.
The time you take for this exercise is an opportunity to visualise the light of Christ filling the structure of your existence. Engage with this energy and sense the brilliance of gentle illumination.

Love Fills The Universe
1 John 4:16, “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
God is love, such a simple, yet sublime statement. His love is described in scripture as great and wonderful, perfect, redeeming, universal, and everlasting. By spreading these sessions out over a few weeks you’ll shift in your ability to recognise the love of God in your life.
Maybe at this moment you struggle to find access to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Or maybe you don’t feel worthy of abiding in His love. It’s my hope that over the course of these sessions you’ll develop a relationship with Jesus which will help you to see, sense, and feel Divine love. And I’m hopeful you’ll discover how you can authentically live your Christian values and beliefs.
Jesus said, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; continue ye in my love.”
