Wat je zal leren
Yin represents the primal feminine energy of the universe, complementary to the yang principle. In this course, we explore how yin manifests in our lives. In Lesson 1, we delve into what yin feels like in the body and examine the effects of imbalance in our yin qualities. Lesson 2 focuses on restoring harmony within the yin system—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—through the Seated Eight Brocades, a traditional longevity practice originating in ancient China. In the final lesson, we engage in a yin-style meditation, concentrating on the in-breath, clearing the mind, and opening the heart.
Kinesiologist Helen Hansen specializes in meridian therapy which is founded in yin-yang philosophy and longevity. Helen presents weekly Lives here on Insight Timer where she teaches yin-yang stretch classes, yin-yang theory classes, and related meditations. Understanding Yin Of The Body, Mind & Universe
Here we discuss the qualities of yin and we look at what shows up in life when yin is out of balance. Supporting techniques and nutrient options are shared. Archetypes of a yin nature are looked at in both their light/heart states and shadow states. Understanding the various layers of this deep state is nurturing, healing, and life-giving.
Les 2
Seated Eight Brocades
A traditional Taoist practice for the process of detoxification and moving qi, vital energy. A deeply alchemical process that has been used for longevity since the 13th century in ancient China. You are guided through eight different techniques in a seated position. Please allow for some time after the sequence to rest and integrate.

Empty The Heart-Mind
By emptying the heart and mind of intellectual and emotional activity there is an opening that takes place. In this traditional yin meditation known as tranquil meditation, we are called to guard stillness. "Stillness is called returning to life destiny. Returning to life destiny is called constancy. Knowing constancy is illumination" (Chapter 16, Tao te Ching)
