Our First Mistake
It’s really amazing to think how conditioned we’ve been to believe that our mind is a single “thing” …and all things mental can be tossed together. It sounds messy, and that’s what it usually turns out to be, with us constantly overthinking or doing our best to quiet the mind.
This tends to be why many mindfulness practices, although good-intentioned, never end up being more than just another way to manage our “monkey mind.” The mind is not the brain. Our brain may be the processing center for expressing the mind, but the mind does not reside there.
It’s best to think of the brain more as an antenna receiving the mind itself. Although the mind can take us into the vibration of spirit, it is only when we know how to engage in that vibration can we consciously access it.
In this lesson, we discover that looking at the mind as a single entity is like thinking our body is a single entity. Our body is, in fact, a miraculous interaction between very specialized and differentiated parts, and the mind is very similar. We will go into these “parts” in the next lesson.

The Three Bandwidths Of Mind
Years ago, radios had stations that were ID’d by their frequencies on the FM or AM bandwidth. Each station had its own location on this bandwidth spectrum and played its own style of music, and you could turn the radio dial to tune in to what you wanted to listen to.
Your mind is a lot like this; it contains a wide spectrum of frequencies and different frequency bandwidths provide us with very different tools. The three main bandwidths we need to recognize are the Survival Mind, the Intellectual Mind, and the Intuitive Mind. In this lesson, we learn to identify each of these frequencies to unlock so many of the reasons why we do what we do in life, and why we make the choices we make.
Les 3
Survival Mind
No bandwidth of your mind is any better or worse than the others, but when they express themselves in excess and bully out another bandwidth, then we have conflict. The Survival Mind is notorious for dominating our motives as it has been conditioned the longest in human history.
In this lesson, we discover that for the most part, the Survival Mind is a wise and practical guide, but only in its realm of expertise. When it attempts to express itself in our life where it is not adept, we see how we sabotage ourselves.
Les 4
Intellectual Mind
The Intellectual Mind is what the modern world exalts and celebrates and rewards us for. We are literally programmed to do all we can to build this bandwidth of mind at the detriment of all else so that we can get into college and get a good job.
In this lesson, we find that sadly, this limited bandwidth of the mind is absolutely inadequate when it comes to much of what we need to be satisfied in life and this can be the cause of inner conflict and sadness. Learning when and how to access the Intellectual Mind is freeing.
Les 5
Intuitive Mind
The Intuitive Mind is probably the least understood bandwidth of the mind yet it is undeniably the most important. What the ancients referred to as “Heart-Mind” is this aspect of the mind and shows that it was always understood to be expressed from a place I call heart resonance.
In this lesson, we learn to access the Intuitive Mind and realize it is actually better at survival than the Survival Mind and better at intellectual processing than the Intellectual Mind. Counter-intuitive? Not really, once we understand our most gifted aspect of being.
Les 6
How To Stop Your Mental Bullying
We may not always see the “bullying” of the Survival and Intellectual Mind but once we recognize this is taking place, we can appreciate why so many of us have not fully developed our Intuitive Minds.
In this lesson, we acknowledge that much of our inner challenges and frustrations – and even our bad decision-making – come from the social conditioning that allows this mental bullying to take place as frequently as it does. Once we learn how to gently back down the bullies, our Intuitive Mind can blossom, and our whole outlook on life changes.
Les 7
Maintaining Heart Resonance
Giving permission to the Intuitive Mind means that we are allowing our heart resonance to guide us, and to do this, we must become absolutely familiar with that feeling. This is not an “emotion” as much it is a style of focus, and knowing that this focus and awareness vibrates at the frequency of the Heart.
In this lesson, we find that when we can trust and surrender to the Intuitive Mind, we realize that we have a new level of grounded confidence and a new way to address survival and intellectual challenges that is joyful and effortless.

What To Do When Encountering The Survival Minded
The obvious question is, “What to do in a world full of people driven solely by their Survival Mind?” This is life and as we have discussed, the majority of the world is dominated by their Survival Mind. This means that we are going to encounter these types of people all the time, and this will have the effect of triggering that within us to, well, survival.
In this lesson, we discuss this and learn a new approach to these types of personal interactions.
Les 9
What To Do When Encountering The Intellectual Minded
How often do we engage with people who are not in their hearts but are stuck in their “heads?” These are the people who are dominated by their Intellectual Minds. In this lesson, we realize that these aren’t just the highly educated and snobby types, but they can be anyone who is judgmental or stuck on details. We look at ways to stay vigilant and alert to avoid being seduced into engaging at that frequency, and learn how to activate your Intuitive Mind to change the energy in a positive way.
Les 10
What To Do When Encountering The Intuitive Minded
Well, of course, this is the blessing of life, when we can meet another at the heart-vibration level. The important thing that we'll learn in this lesson is to engage your trust, that trust that allows you to remain in heart resonance so that you gift the other person with that same trust.
It’s easy to sabotage a blessed opportunity by questioning your heart – or that of another – but surrendering into your Intuitive Mind in a safe and mutual space with another soul is life’s greatest gift. As we learn to recognize, embrace, and sustain this engagement, we build community in the deepest way.
