Les 1
Defining Limiting Beliefs
In this session, we will define limiting beliefs and observe how they influence our thoughts, actions, and emotions. We’ll begin to talk about awareness of our subconscious beliefs and assumptions we may have about various aspects of life. We’ll also look at how past information and experience influence our present life, where we may feel stuck or frustrated today.
Les 2
The Process Of Domestication
How are we assimilated into our family units and society at large, absorbing information and adopting specific beliefs and values along the way? We’ll discuss the process of ‘domestication’ from a variety of perspectives, including psychology, spirituality, and our interactions with
others. In doing so, the light of awareness will illuminate and reveal the processes that influence our behavior the most.
Les 3
Self - Inquiring
In this lesson, we’ll learn how to sit with a question. After understanding how limiting beliefs are formed, we’ll deep dive into a journey of introspection, exploring the role of core beliefs in our own psychological experience. We’ll personally identify these deeply-rooted messages and take inventory of our current situation.
Les 4
Somatic Sensing
In this lesson, after mentally noting core beliefs, we’ll examine and immerse ourselves in our sensorial experience. Using methods coined by dedicated spiritual practitioner and retired professor of psychology John C. Prendergast, we’ll go through a guided practice and explore the space
limiting beliefs hold within our bodies.
Les 5
Observing Judgments
Oftentimes, our judgments about others speak volumes of our own deeply-held stigmas, taboos, and limiting beliefs. Our inner critics turn venomous when presented with something our value system deems ‘unredeemable’ or ‘wrong’. In this lesson, we’ll reflect on our judgments of others, examine their internal sources, and effectively develop a more compassionate and understanding outlook.
Les 6
Put It Together: The List
Using the foundation built from the last three lessons, we’ll put our collective knowledge and understanding together, building a list of our individual core belief systems. By identifying and synthesizing these limiting beliefs with newly-gained awareness, we venture even further into our journey of rewriting and rewiring our life narratives and stories.
Les 7
The Person In The Mirror
In this lesson, building on the previous limiting belief exercise, we’ll take time and get to know you - the person in the mirror. We’ll journey into the heart of the matter; what family life, worldview, and
psychological environment were you born into?
Our ancestry’s impact on our present is immeasurable, and by defining our past and present, we
acquire invaluable clarity and insight into where we are and where our heart desires to go.
Les 8
Embodiment
In this lesson, we’ll discover the relationship between awareness and healthy living. Our views on love, progress, and healing are instrumental in either promoting growth or keeping us stuck. By looking at the concept of embodiment - becoming an unwaveringly compassionate, encouraging
presence for ourselves - we become more aligned with helpful, new beliefs and our natural capacity for change. We’ll also discuss sociology’s view on embodiment, along with a spiritual perspective.
Les 9
Writing A Winning Script
Here it is! We’ve gathered crucial knowledge and experience when it comes to identifying, synthesizing, and understanding already-existing belief systems and behavior patterns. Now, it’s time to write a roadmap for the journey ahead; we’ll take the helms and create a vision of the life we want, the person we wish to become, and the impact we desire to have on the world.
By writing a new script, we’re creating a “new dream” or reality for ourselves and successfully breaking the chains of perpetuated, long-held limiting core beliefs.
Les 10
The Journey
In this lesson, we’ll go over key points learned and insights gained during the course, as well as guidelines to move forward, creating a happier, healthier, more connected life.
