Sarah McLean is an inspiring contemplative practice teacher who blends the spirit of Zen Wisdom with Vedic knowledge and Self-Inquiry and makes meditation accessible to everyone. Her mission is to support those who are seeking to make their life more fulfilling, be more peaceful, and to live with the power of love. She's the founder of the McLean Meditation Institute and the Meditation Teacher Academy and has been teaching meditation since 1993. She's also a bestselling Hay House author Sarah's bestselling books are Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation, and, The Power of Attention: Awakening to Love with Meditation. Sarah's personal practice began in 1990 when a resident in a Transcendental Meditation community. There, she received advanced training in meditation and studied ayurveda. She then served as the education director for Deepak Chopra’s Center for Mind Body Health for 8 years. Followed by six months in-residence at an ashram in India. She became a resident trainee in a Zen Buddhist monastery before she served as the director of the School for the Work of Byron Katie. Sarah is the co-director of the Feast for the Soul, a nonprofit, now in its 19th year. In 2012 she founded the Meditation Teacher Academy and has certified over 400 meditation and mindfulness teachers worldwide through its 300-hour teacher training program. She lives in Santa Barbara, California where she keeps bees, gardens, and meditates.
