Welcome to meditation segment 2.
Take a moment to find a comfortable place.
I would suggest getting into a comfortable chair so that the body experiences comfort,
So that you experience ease and freedom physically,
So that the muscles are relaxed and you can completely concentrate on the process of quieting down the mind,
Of slowing down the thoughts.
That is essentially the practice of meditation,
To quiet down,
To move into that baseline,
To let the mind settle in,
So that you can place your full attention into the process that we are about to undergo.
Relaxing through the body,
Through the muscles of the face,
Through the shoulders,
The arms,
The legs,
The muscles of the back and the abdomen.
Letting the breath become soft and smooth.
Letting your attention follow the process of the inhalation and the exhalation.
Slow breathing in.
Breathing out and in and out.
Continuing in and out.
Letting your attention zoom in more and more into the process of the breath.
The most state of the mind,
Free of thought.
This process takes time.
It is normal that the mind will wander,
That the thoughts will rise.
Simply guide your attention back into the breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And breathing in.
And breathing out.
Experiencing the abundance of the breath,
The freedom of the inhalations and the exhalations.
Noticing and sensing the emotional change with each consecutive cycle of the inhalation and the exhalation.
You'll notice the quieter the mind becomes,
The more open,
The more in tune you will be emotionally.
You'll start to sense that feeling of being content,
Of any kind of emotional tension dissolving.
The body is becoming relaxed.
Notice how you achieve that balanced,
Clear and focused state.
Simply breathing.
Concentrating on the process.
Our work here is simple.
Yet it is profound to move our attention fully into the breath and quiet things down and to soothe the emotions,
To soothe the mind and find that state of ease where even on the physical level we feel that nice release within the area of the solar plexus,
Within the area of the heart.
Creating alignment of the thought and the emotion.
Feeling the state of clarity.
Tuning into the resonance of that internal self.
Remembering and finding ourselves within magnificent,
Glorious matrix of consciousness.
Infinite and eternal.
Humongous.
