Welcome.
I'm glad you're here today.
Take these next few moments as an opportunity to pause,
To reconnect with yourself,
And to offer yourself a little space and kindness.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
Nothing you need to fix.
Simply Allow yourself.
To arrive.
And if it feels comfortable and safe.
Gently allow your eyes to close or just soften your gaze.
And begin by noticing the breath.
Taking a slow,
Intentional breath in.
And slowly release.
Again,
Breathing in… and breathing out.
And now allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
There is nothing to force.
Nothing to change.
Simply notice that your breath is here with you.
Now imagine for just a moment that inside of you is an endless sky.
Not the sky outside,
But a quiet inner sky that has always been there.
Some days that sky is bright and clear.
Some days it holds thick clouds,
Rain,
Wind,
And storms.
And some days it seems like every kind of weather just shows up at once,
Doesn't it?
Today,
We simply notice.
What is the weather like inside of you?
There is no right answer.
No wrong.
Maybe your mind feels busy like swirling wind.
Maybe there are heavy clouds of sadness.
Maybe flashes of frustration.
Or perhaps small openings of sunlight.
Whatever you discover.
Just notice.
Now see if you can remember something important.
You are not the weather.
You are the sky that holds it.
Thoughts may drift by like clouds,
Feelings may rise and fall like changing temperatures,
Sensations may move through you like rain.
None of them have to be pushed away.
None of them need to stay forever.
Simply observe and notice.
And if you find yourself getting pulled into a thought.
Gently imagine placing that thought onto a cloud.
Not because it is bad?
Not because you need to get rid of it.
But because you are allowing it to move through.
Then gently return your attention to my voice and to your breath.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
And if another feeling appears.
Instead of asking,
How do I make this go away?
See if you can simply ask.
What would it feel like to make room for this?
Just for this moment,
Just for this breath.
Notice that beneath every changing cloud,
The sky remains.
Open Study.
Unbroken.
There is a part of you that can notice what is happening with curiosity and compassion.
Even when life feels messy.
Even when emotions feel overwhelming.
There is still a steady place within you that can pause,
Choose,
And respond.
And take one more slow breath in.
And a long,
Easy breath out.
And as you prepare to return to the room,
Imagine carrying a small piece of that inner sky with you.
Not because life will always be clear.
Or because storms won't come.
But because you can trust yourself to meet what arrives.
Life is not something we have to figure out all at once.
It is something we move through one moment,
One choice,
One breath at a time.
And when you are unsure of what comes next,
Simply ask yourself,
What is my next right thing?
The next small step.
The next kind choice.
The next moment of care.
You do not need to have the whole path mapped out.
You only need to keep returning to yourself and taking the next step.
Life is figureoutable,
And you are capable of meeting it.
And so when you're ready,
Gently bring your attention back to the room.
Maybe wiggling some fingers and toes.
Stretching the shoulders or the neck.
And at your pace,
You can invite your eyes to open.
Thank you for taking these moments with me today to care for yourself.
And until next time,
With love,
Nicole.
