Welcome to this session,
A brief but powerful guided meditation for forgiveness.
Take a slow breath in and exhale gently.
Again,
Inhale deeply and release slowly.
Let your breathing settle into a natural rhythm.
Nothing forced,
Nothing controlled.
Just breathing.
Now bring your awareness inward.
Gently,
Without pressure.
Bring awareness to something you are holding.
It doesn't have to be the biggest thing.
Just something present.
Something that still carries a weight.
No need to go too deep.
Just enough to notice the feeling.
Notice the weight of it.
How it sits with you.
Where do you feel it in your body?
Your chest?
Your stomach?
Your throat?
Your shoulders?
Or somewhere else?
Stay with that.
Not analyzing.
Just observing.
Say quietly,
I allow space around this.
I don't need to carry this fully.
Let those words settle.
Forgiveness is not something that happens instantly.
It is a process.
A gradual shift.
It begins with softening.
With creating space.
You don't need to let everything go today.
You don't need to force understanding.
You don't need to justify anything.
You can begin simply by loosening your grip.
Even slightly.
Even just a little less tension.
That is enough for now.
Now bring your breath into that space.
Wherever you feel the weight,
Breathe into it gently.
Inhale slowly.
And exhale softly.
With each inhale,
Create a little more room.
With each exhale,
Release a small amount of tension.
Not all at once.
Just gradually.
Let the edges of the feeling soften.
Just a little.
You are not pushing it away.
You are changing your relationship to it.
Say quietly,
I am allowed to move forward.
I don't need to stay stuck here.
I can begin to release this.
Let those words settle.
Notice how they feel in your body.
Even if there is resistance,
That is okay.
Forgiveness does not mean forgetting.
It does not mean approving.
It does not mean everything is resolved.
It means you are choosing not to carry the full weight anymore.
You are creating space for yourself.
You are allowing yourself to breathe again.
You are giving yourself permission to move forward.
You are not letting someone else off the hook.
You are freeing yourself.
Stay with that understanding.
Let it settle gently.
Return to your breath.
Steady.
Consistent.
Supporting you.
Feel your body again.
Notice any small changes.
Any softening.
Any space.
Any shift.
Even the smallest shift matters.
Stay here.
Breathing.
Softening.
Allowing.
You are not required to finish the process today.
You are only beginning.
And beginning is enough.
And as we start to close,
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Notice the inhale and the exhale.
Feel your body supported.
Feel the space around you.
And remember,
You can return to this whenever you need.
Each time you do,
The weight becomes lighter.
The grip becomes softer.
And the space within you grows.
Carry this with you.
Move forward with a little more ease.
A little more understanding.
And a little more compassion for yourself.
Thank you.
It has been a pleasure practicing together.
Be well.
