You're joining me for a full moon meditation.
Feel free to listen to this meditation anytime the full moon is near.
This represents a time of culmination,
Illumination,
And heightened emotions.
And it is a helpful way to ground yourself so that you can get clarity for how to proceed.
Begin by taking a deep breath into the center of your body with the intention of relaxing your body.
Imagine taking that breath lower with every inhale.
First into the chest,
Then into the solar plexus,
And into the belly.
Imagine the breath expanding you with every in-breath and relaxing you with every out-breath.
When the moon is full in the sky,
It means that it is directly across from the sun.
Astrologically,
The moon represents your deeply held emotions and your own internal queen.
And the sun represents the very core of who you are,
Who you have come here to be,
And your own internal king.
The king and the queen are the rulers of the kingdom.
And when the moon is full,
They are directly across from each other.
There is some sort of balancing act that must be completed.
You may find at this time your emotions are amplified.
There's heightened sensitivity,
A stronger connection to your feelings,
And perhaps emotional outbursts.
Or you may find yourself on the other side of the spectrum,
Strongly attached to your ego,
Wanting what you want,
Desiring to be seen,
Yearning to be true to yourself,
And determined to exercise your willpower.
In a full moon,
There's usually something that is out of balance.
As you sit here,
Breathing into your body,
Get a sense of where you might be out of balance.
Are your emotions overpowering you?
Is your ego overpowering you?
Take a breath into that question and allow the answer to arise.
A full moon is where we come to understand what needs to be released to create more space in our system.
Negative patterns,
Habits,
Relationships,
The things that need to go to create space for new growth.
If you're feeling off-center and unbalanced in the realm of your emotions,
How can you better support yourself?
Ask your higher self to give you some words,
Some concepts for what you may need to do in order to support yourself in coming into a state of symmetry.
When we are emotionally off-kilter,
It usually speaks to a need for stronger boundaries,
Finding our own personal center,
And for alone time.
Can you create these spaces for yourself?
When you are lopsided on the side of your ego,
Demanding,
Feeling frustration,
Wanting things to be your way,
This is usually an indication that you feel invisible and your efforts are going unnoticed.
Ask your higher self for some guidance around how to bring yourself into greater visibility.
This usually involves seeing yourself more clearly instead of looking outside for positive reflection.
See whether you can find the approval,
Recognize the things that you do,
And validate yourself as the amazing being that you are.
Take a deep breath into your body and allow your understandings to settle.
Imagine the parts of you being in harmony,
Perfectly balanced.
You need to release in order to find that balance.
Take a deep breath,
Release it,
And as you release it,
Imagine that you're letting go of anything that you no longer need on your journey this month.
Full moons are also a time of celebrating achievements and acknowledging any progress that you have made since the new moon.
What have you done well this month?
What has brought in a sense of peace and satisfaction?
And how can you create more of that?
As you take deep breaths into your body,
Imagine yourself expanding and taking up more space,
Taking up space outside of your physical body.
Imagine your energy forming a beautiful orb around you.
And in that orb,
Fill it up with beautiful color and charge the energy with confidence and with a sense of emotional security.
As you move throughout your day and a stressful situation arises,
Imagine being in the center of that orb that is filled with powerful energy,
Protecting you,
Keeping you grounded and centered.
And recognize that every time you see yourself surrounded by this energy,
It is you.
It is a form of affirming yourself,
Of witnessing yourself,
And of respecting and appreciating yourself.
Take a deep breath into those concepts.
Know that you are worthy,
That you are powerful,
And a full moon brings you into close contact with your greatness.
